Well placed guest house which had lots of character. Bedroom clean and comfortable if a little on the small side. Good breakfast was provided.

The room (#7) was small and cramped and the bed felt like it was going to fall apart. The arrangement of the furniture could be done differently to maximized the space. The location would be wonderful during the summer but in October everything we expected to see was closed for the season. Nice breakfast. Steep stairs.

This is a nice B&B. It offers the usual level of rather feminine and prissy decor that seems to be the norm for B&Bs. (My 6'2" of man-frame always felt like i was going to break whatever I sat on.) The rooms are nicely furnished w/ modern bath amenities. Breakfast was superb, with pastries that apparently were homemade because they were so much better […] than any I've had elsewhere. The bed was mediocre as I could feel the metal springs, but the bedding was very nice. The in-room flatscreen TV was both tiny and poor quality. The location is quite good if you want to be near the beach and its surrounding tourism. The building itself was great, authentically old and in good condition. It has the charming floor squeaks that lend authenticity to the antiquity of the facility. There is lots of helpful info in the rooms about local activities, etc. Skaityti daugiau

A very nice place to stay. It is very clean and easy to find - a very close to walk to the beach. It has an old world charm to it and the cosiness of the breakfast room makes it very easy to engage in conversation - if you want to - with fellow guests.

Great place with excellent parking and breakfast. The pumpkin candle lit in reception was a bit overwhelming (minor irritation).

Wow... our first bed & breakfast stay, and can't imagine not doing this again! So amazingly pleased with our experience. Loved this Inn with all its charm. Rick, who was the only employee we even saw, was very friendly, showed us to our room upon arrival, and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. (Be sure to go to The Landmark!) Chintzy decorations spoil an attractive building. Room seemed furnished from a rummage sale. The bed squeaked terribly. Poor breakfast. One to avoid.

The owner wasn't a bit welcoming, in fact he barely spoke to us. The room was smaller than it looked on the website and it was fairly basic.

Our room was immaculate, bedding was beautiful and queen bed was very comfortable. Awesome sunrise over the ocean only 3 blocks away! Really nice to see old building being maintained so well. Plaque on outside entrance says 1730. We would definitely stay there again.

We were very pleased with the room, the service, the breakfast, etc. One thing that was lacking was light in our room. Half of the room was basically in the dark, making reading, looking at maps, etc. very difficult. We found ourselves kneeling on the floor with the reading material on the bed. Also, they say they have wifi but we found it extremely […] slow and unreliable. Since this is getting to be an accepted mode of communication, there needs to be some work done on that. We felt very safe walking in the neighborhood at night and found everything we needed within walking distance. We were there right after season so many of the shops, etc. were closed. This B&B was beautiful, comfortable and with great service. The towels and other amenities were fresh and all displayed beautifully. The owner gave us a list of local places to eat. It was a couple of blocks from the beach! It was quiet and a very nice breakfast.

This bed and breakfast is in a really old historic building and we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was lovely - continental style but heaps of choices, couldn't fault it. Our overall stay was great, never stayed at an Inn before and it was a nice change from the hotel chains, loved that they kept the Inn era deco/design, antique furniture goes with the time frame of the building, quaint, quiet and cozy only thing bad I can say is the shower was too small and it might be time to change/clean the stair runners but other […] than that it was clean, neat, towels/soap refilled daily even if not needed, bed was comfortable, self serve breakfast was great, all one needs in the am, coffee/juice was fresh and the dining area was nice, love the era ambiance, walking distance to the beach/shops, this isnt what we stayed for but it was a nice bonus, would definately recommend if a quiet cozy Inn is what youre looking for Skaityti daugiau

Old Orchard Beach Inn is a good choice. The place is nice and well taken care of. A porch to lounge after the day at the beach and walking around. Directly up the street from the beach and tourist area that many people walk in and out of the stores.

We enjoyed a weekend stay at the Old Orchard Beach Inn. What's not to like? We were in Room #27 which is on the street side and is probabily noisier than some rooms since we had the windows open most of the time. But if you are going to OOB for a quiet beach vacation you need to go to another resort area. July at OOB means crowds of people, plenty of […] motorcycles and the midway runs until midnight. This hotel is in a great location because it is less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and parking is behind the hotel, so we never drove down there. Parking any closer will cost $10. and up if you can find it during the busy season. The room we had was quite large although the bathroom is a little small with only a shower and no tub. Although the furniture is antique fitting more with the age of the hotel, there is a small tv with full cable hook-up. The breakfast is a continental one with plenty of home made pastries, yogurt & fruit. If you want the big breakfast there are plenty of restaurants & grills on the street leading to the pier. Our only downside comment would be that we asked the person on the desk the first night for a recommendation on lobster and he didn't really have any good suggestions. The inn is lovely, the host and hostess were very gracious. There is a lovely front porch to relax on and even though the inn is on a main street it's still very quiet. my only criticisms would be is that the bed was extremely hard and there are no comfy chairs in the room to relax in. Other than that the place was great.

My girlfriend and I are 23 and wanted to visit Maine; we had no more direction in planning our trip than that. We allowed Expedia to suggest a nice place near a beach, which is how we wound up choosing this bed and breakfast-- with no forethought whatsoever. We couldn't have lucked out more. While the hotel definitely skews older-- we were the youngest […] people there by at least a decade-- it's right up the block from a great tourist strip and beach (with an amusement park, pier, bars, restaurants, etc) and only a 10 minute drive from Portland. The staff at the Inn could not have been nicer, more helpful (they printed directions to Peaks Island for us when we mentioned we might take a drive), or more interesting (the Inn is in the National Historic Registry and is older than the United States). The walls are a little thin, so we'd recommend asking for a room as far from the front desk as possible, but that's a small complain for an otherwise great place to stay. Skaityti daugiau

Very helpful innkeepers. Luther, Marge, & Bill were all very helpful and gracious. The room we had was a smaller one but comfortable. Some road noise early in the evening, but it settled down by bedtime. Good breakfast with some variety--fruit, breads, yogurt, granola, and boiled eggs as well as a variety of beverages, both hot & cold. Cookies, fruit, […] & beverages were available at check-in. This was my second visit to the inn. I would not stay anywhere else when I visit my daughter in Maine. The innkeepers are very nice. The house is a charming historical building built around 1700 and it is in perfect condition. Very comfortable. No complaints though it is on a busy street. The Old Orchard Beach Inn was a really clean and cozy place to stay. The innkeepers were very courteous and gave a 'tour' of the hotel. They were also very informative about places to see and eat in the area. The surrounding neighborhood was nice also. The room that I stayed in was adjacent to the main road so I did hear some traffic--but that was minor. […] I did not hear any of the other guests or loud TV's.
