The staff at the Movenpick were really very helpful and friendly. As a single female traveller, I was treated very well and made feel very welcome. Breakfast and evening meals couldn't be faulted. The outdoor pool is quite small and the sun was of it by midday which is not a bad thing if you have children ( I used it from 9.30 until 12 which was enough), […] but if you want to lounge in the sun all day then this is not the pool for you. Movenpick is just a 10 minute walk to the Museum of Islamic Art - free entry, great little cafe and wonderful exhibition. Then you just walk another 5 minutes to the Souk Waqif and take in the wonderful sights of a traditional Qatari market place, wandering through it's lanes and alleys, be sure to eat at one of the many restaurants in the Souk. I am completely shocked to see others have not given this hotel and especially its phenominal staff a 5! I have travelled the world for both business and pleasure - this trip being a bit of both - and I have never seen the consistent and excellent level of service and consideration I received at Moevenpick, Doha, Qatar. Right from my pre-trip questions […] and email correspondence with Concierge, Rosario, down to my final check-out with attentive Virginia and Jonna, everyone went above and beyond. All reception staff, also including Salma were terrific, as was Philip in Room Service and all Bell Boys and Doormen, including Anwar and Roshan, restaurant staff, housekeeping and the extremely prompt and reliable driving service. Not only were the staff exceptional, but the hotel is clean, organized. Restaurant clean, food good, location close to Museum of Islamic Art, Souq Waqif, the Corniche and the airport. Great location, near to the souq and museum. Only two things wrong with this hotel - VERY small pool with only 6 sunbeds. In the shade after 11.30 AM. The room is very quiet, bun there is a live band on fridays. We had a room on the 4. th floor, and could hear the bass all the way up there untill a little after midnigt. So avoid friday nights. Overall decent although a bit worn Down hotel. Positive: big rooms, housekeeping excellent, free internet in rooms, great restaurant(s). Negative: Pool not suitable for younger children, no regular taxis available at hotel - only overpriced "limo" service.

One problem I encountered: There is a hotel booth at the airport but no one was there. I took a taxi which was not too expensive. So be aware there are no free hotel shuttles to and from the hotel.

Close to airport and hence convenient for overnight stay during layover. Room and quality of service were great. The food was little better than average based on their breakfast and lunch buffet choices and quality of the cuisine.

The hotel is nice; the food is good and the price is right. However, the hotel is in a very noisy location evidenced by the fresh set of ear plugs placed on the night stand by the hotel. One hears all sorts of noises filtering through the windows from the outside ranging from traffic to other noises.

Nice small hotel almost at seafront. This is older building, but quite well maintained. Good food however nothing fancy.

Hotel is in a good location for access to the corniche, MIA and souk. The staff went the extra step to provide a complimentary birthday cake for my father upon arrival. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. Access to the West Bay area was a reasonable price via taxi and took about 15 minutes on average if traffic was not to congested.

I was looking for a place to relax in and this had all the comforts to do just that - a comfortable bed - a big tv - a beautiful view - a bath tub and a wonderful hotel staff. Thanks for the getaway.

A very good hotel in a very convenient location, close to the Corniche and the Islamic Museum of Art and within walking distance of the Souk Wakif. Rooms are clean and comfortable with complimentary coffee making facilities, which I like. I had a problem with the air conditioning which started making a weird noise in the middle of the night even though […] it was not on at the time. The maintenance man fixed it by, I understand, turning it off at some controls outside my room. So I had no air con although, given the time of the year, this was not really a problem. If you arrive by air, when you leave the arrivals terminal you can stop at the hotel booth and request transport, although it will cost you 45 reeyals (?). You can get a taxi outside for about a third of the price.If you are going to be in Doha for a few days and will use taxis a lot, it would be useful to befriend a taxi driver. Skaityti daugiau

This is one of the best hotels that I've ever stayed in. I came in with red wine stained all over my pants. The laundry service at Moevenpick was quickly able to remove all the stains and give me my suit back cleaned and pressed in less than 8 hours. The breakfast was quite good and the service was superb. Wanted to see Doha and this short stay offered the ideal opportunity. Hotel facilities are very good and excellent service from all staff. Location very good for airport and easy to walk many of the attractions, particularly the Islamic Museum.

Good service from staff. Very helpful. No problem with car pick up from airport. Close to museum. Area surrounding hotel is new and still being constructed. Workout room not bad. But many smokers in lobby cafe so did not eat there. Hotel restaurant pretty good.

My wife and I were in Doha over the Eid Adha holiday. While I found many positive things about the hotel, I was bothered by others. I would advise anyone who plans to stay at the hotel to NOT use the transportation service provided by the hotel. We used the hotel's cab system to go to the Katara Cultural Village and paid roughly twice what we would […] have for one of the "blue" local cabs. The hotel also is in critical need of a concierge. We were given incorrect information from the front desk staff at least three times. If the hotel does not plan on hiring a concierge, it needs to make sure the staff knows the opening times of cultural attractions and shopping malls. We made two trips to local attractions that were closed, even though we were assured by the staff that they were open. I would also advise anyone planning to stay at the Movenpick to avoid rooms on the side of the building across from the local mosque. The call to prayer in the morning is extremely loud. The hotel requires a lot of investment. The facilities are very old specially the pool, the spa, the changing rooms, in fact, the bar and the lobby and the restaurant. The food at the restaurant in the evening was less than basic quality and shockingly expensive. Also, the wifi was extremely expensive when it should've been available for free.

Staff at reception were helpful but not overly friendly and didn't speak English very well so communication was a little difficult at times. They allowed us to check in early which was a great help after a tiring 15 hour flight from Australia. Door staff and house staff were all very friendly and helpful, as was the head waiter in the restaurant. Interesting […] choice of foods from restaurant buffet for dinner and worth going there hungry to get your money's worth! The room was spacious and clean, but smelt a bit musty (probably due to the fact that a/c needs to be on all the time and the rooms can't be aired). We stayed in Doha for a layover to breakup our trip from Paris to Australia. This hotel was the best fit for us. We did not have the opportunity to use the hotel facilities as we did not leave our room. We were upgraded and the room was beautiful and spacious. We did have room service for all of our meals and all of the dishes we ordered were outstanding, […] the American breakfast was delicious as was the icecream selections that followed our main dishes. The bed was huge, comfortable and luxurious. The staff were so helpful from the driver that waited 2hrs for us as our plane was late, to the front desk and housekeeping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The free wifi worked very well. Smoking was allowed in the lobby - not sure if this is normal in Qatar - but that was the only real negative.

Hotel staff was really nice and friendly. The rooms are spacious, well maintained and clean. I just had some small hassle with the booking in regards to the breakfast. Hotels.com has the breakfast included in the price, other booking pages don't. Overall, this is a nice, small and quiet hotel that is conveniently located. The pool and jaccuzzi are very nice. Being Swiss, the food at the restaurant is very good and European and a welcome change from other hotel restaurants in the neighborhood. However, customers beware. They require a "deposit", in cash, on your arrival and they even specify […] how much you must leave. It is a comfortable hotel in a good location. The rooms are pretty big and in a good condition. The staff is very helpful and gentile. The standarts you get when compaired with the money you are paying is very high.

Very clean, modern and large rooms. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Only complaint is that the internet in the room was slow and unreliable, even though paid for. The hotel is very close to the airport and easy to get to (10 minutes).

Outside jacuzzi nice and fitness faciliteis just below standard. Dressing rooms very nice. I havent yet been able to find a fitness center with back training machines at a proper level.

I was satisfied with my stay at the hotel, but my expectations were certainly not exceeded. The restaurant food left a lot to be deserved and after a while I just learned to drop my expectations of the food. Although they have a 24 hour a la carte service, both times I called requesting something they didn't have it. I had to wait around 9 hours overnight in Doha for the connecting flight. I didn't wanted to stay at the airport. The hotel is close to the airport. But the rooms are quiet. The staff really helpful. the rooms are big, comfortable and clean. New furniture. With the taxi you get to the airport in 10 minutes.

Vi tilbrakte 20 timer i Doha på stopover til India. Hotel Mövenpick lå ikke langt fra flyplassen og i gangavstand til Museum of Islamic art som er verdt et besøk. Rommet var stort og hadde høy standard, det samme gjaldt badet. Restauranten hadde en deilig buffet til både til frokost og lunsj. Vi bokade för 2vuxna och 2 barn men fick bara 1 dubbelsäng. I övrigt ett bra hotell som ligger nära flygplatsen och vi fick en bra karta för att gå runt en dag i Doha.
