Very nice hotel, we were only in Townsville for 1 night so checked in then climbed chapel hill in boiling sunshine (not sure why?!!). Great views at the top of the hill. The hotel restaurant was closed but there are numerous restaurants and bars on the hotels doorstep.

Well located hotel, with good range of restaurants within 2 mins walk and more a short walk away. Shopping area also very close, just across the bridge. Nice clean hotel and room. The staff were helpful too although they were running the adjoining restaurant as well as reception. Excellent location on Palmer Street - very friendly & helpful reception staff. However my room was obviously a former smoking room, it smelled of stale smoke - my clothes smelled like stale cigarette smoke for the rest of my trip :(. I got a good deal on this room but wouldn't stay here again - I have stayed at Oaks M on Palmer last year and it was […] much more aesthetically pleasing however reception staff were not friendly or helpful. Reception staff at Ibis were great - I needed to return to hotel later after check-out to charge my phone and they let me back into my room to charge my phone & have a bit of a relax. No shortage of places to find a meal nearby though more on the expensive side. Staff helpful with minding our luggage even after checkout. Venue a little tired but that goes with the price of the room.

As always this hotel was fantastic and the staff are great. I have stayed here several times and it is always my preferred hotel.

It was a good choice. Definelty centered around what we were there to do. Close to everything and easy to find on google maps.

Having arrived late, the 24 hr front desk was much appreciated. Nice stay. Only minus was breakfast seemed disorganized due to staffing. Also, internet was not included in room rate. I ended up here as where I initially booked messed up the booking (as well they didn't have 24 hr front desk) so in future, I will make Ibis my preferred stay.

Like a normal ibis hotel it was comfortable and generally clean. There are several hotelsin Palmer St.

It was fine. Perfectly civilised, mercifully quiet, outlook over Palmer Street pleasant. Facilities and amenities seemed adequate if limited though we didn't explore them. The big plus was the staff, without exception competent, helpful and cheerful. The restaurant too is excellent, one of the two dinners we had there was the best of the seven we had […] during our stay, the other as good as the best of the considerably more expensive places we went to. Breakfast menus and prices were at least as good as those of the other eateries we checked on and we were happy to breakfast there every day. We could have exhausted the charms of the town's attractions in about three days including half day tours of the town and Magnetic Island so we were pushed for distractions the rest of the time and, especially given the beautiful weather we enjoyed throughout, we might have enjoyed chilling out round the hotel swimming pool if there had been one. The room was satisfactory but the beds were to hard my sister who was with me ended up with a sore back in the morning. the air conditioning was not cool enough throughout the night. I was told in the morning I could have had it changed but that was to late then.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. I usually stay at Oaks M on Palmer but could not get accomodation for the particular night. This hotel is as good as Oak M and has a really good restraunt which Oak M doesn't have. The check-in staff were very helpful and quickly attended to me upon my arival. The restraunt staff were incredible and the service was outstanding. […] I will certainly stay at the Ibis in Townsville again. Great location for restaurants and nightlife. Easy to walk around, free parking, very new hotel.

Friendly staff clean and tidy just found fridge very noisy otherwise good experience.

Upgraded to a king-size room and daughter allowed to stay at no extra cost as her accommodation wasn't available until the next night. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room quite good though needed hand towels and a second washcloth. Central to our needs and easy driving elsewhere. No undercover parking though.

The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a very convenient location. The staff were friendly and courteous and allowed an early check in. Very nice breakfast at a reasonable price. The only slight inconvenience was that the air conditioning in the room was not working as efficiently as it should be in the hot humid Townsville weather. Because the room […] was warm, it made sleeping difficult. However, I would not hesitate to stay there again and can recommend the hotel to anyone wanting clean comfortable accommodation in Townsville at a reasonable price. It was very good value for money. I enjoyed my stay all wth walkin distance to shops an hotels....jus wished it had a pool it was soooo hot up there. the area was nice clean very pretty city. the staff there was very helpful an nice. I would tel people to stay there any time. regards Lou Lou

On check out we were charged a fee for using credit card. No mention that I could find on my booking paperwork - apparently it is in the small print when guests check in. I have never come across this practice in any hotel before - expecially one in such a prestige group as ACCOR. I was told it is now common practice across the ACCOR group. It must […] cost them far more to administer than the charge. In our 5 weeks in Australia the only other times we were asked to pay a credit card fee were at an out of the way garage in Western Australia and a beach side (again out of the way) cafe in Cape Tribulation - both of whom pointed out up front there would be a credit card charge. The meals where great, however I was a bit let down that I could not get a bread roll & butter with dinner. Apparently this is not part of the dinner menu. $30.00 for a plate of food should have bread & butter as an option. There was also a lack of local beer. No Mid-strenght or VB. Besides those 2 things the visit was fine.

一出酒店門口已有很多燒烤及吃牛扒的餐廳，步行到Woolworths買日用品要15分鐘。酒店不設免費上網，房間的上網费用十澳元/兩小時。距離灰狗長途車站也只是八分鐘的士但車資要18澳元。酒店整體很好，職員有禮貌。
