My stay was good like always, the only thing is that the wi-fi is pretty slow. Other then that, the employes were very friendly and the room was nice and clean. i give it 2 thumbs up.

Nice little hotel except for the truck noise at night. Make sure to get a room in the back of the hotel, it may be quieter than our 3rd floor front room.

The employees were fantastic. The room seemed smaller than other Microtel rooms I have been in since the fridge and micro were in the closet. It made it a bit tight in there. You have to travel quite a distance for restaurants. Other than that it was a great stay.

It is nothing fancy. A nice basic room that was clean. The overall sense is the staff takes good care of the facility. Everything from the hair dryer to the TV worked. There was a microwave oven and a small fridge in the room. Various microwavable foods are available for sale at the desk. Over all the hotel was decent. The biggest distraction was why was it in the middle of nowhere. Turns out there is a Federal Prison (Max. Security) on the other side of the hill. They must get business providing rooms for visitation. Neighbors were loud but I didn't want to be confrontational.

This was last minute ski trip to Wisp resort. We were 20 minutes from slopes. Room was clean and quiet. Close to freeway but nothing else nearby. Breakfast was basic but the price was right.

We always travel with our companion and appreciate the pet hospitality. All pets were very well behaved. Please create a designated dog walk area. Was not sure where to take my dog.

We spent 2 nights there with 2 kids and the hotel was really nice. One big minus is the wifi there - it kept disconnecting (we had several devices - none worked OK), which was pretty annoying. besides that - great hotel

The hotel is set away from everything except the prison and a gas station. Our room had a sticky bathroom floor....very small queen? bed and no internet service at all. Attitude of staff was as though they get these same customer complaints and "Oh Well". We left a day early and had to replan our trip at the spur of the moment. Not happy.

This place is a bit out of the way if you want to play at Wisp resort, or Deep Creek water way, but for the price and easy access on and off the freeway and the GREAT breakfast, it's worth it.

We booked for a last minute trip to Deep Creek Lake. The hotel was by far one of the cleanest hotels and up-to-date hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is across the street from a federal prision, but that did not bother us at all. There really is not anything really close to do, but it is very close to highway […] access, making getting places fairly easy to access restaurants and entertainment. I probably would not have stayed here if I had not been traveling with my dog. However for the price the place was great! The room was very clean. Overall the hotel is well maintained inside and out. Nice little pavilion and picnic area. Decent complimentary breakfast. This is the upscale of an economic hotel. I hadn't stayed at a Microtel in quite some time and I was pleasantly surprised to find the everything was as I remembered it in previous Microtel's I've stayed at. A Clean room, safe location, and competative prices are all reasons why I'd recommend this location.

My stay at the Microtel hotel was very pleasent and I love the southren hospitality. I would recommend any one that goes that way to visit there for a night or two.

Great budget hotel off the highway between Morgantown and Cumberland Maryland. Be sure to bring a detailed map as the location is off a poorly paved road across from the Federal Prison. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel! The employees were friendly, rooms were very clean the breakfast was good, and overall the stay was great! With the hotel only being a short distance from Wisp, it's the perfect hotel to stay at if you're on a budget but still want to remain close to the resort.

The Microtel in Hazelton provided a very comfortable stay. I was not especially impressed with its location, as it is across from a federal prison and has no attractions nearby to speak of. Howver, the room was comfortable and clean, the staff were extremely pleasant and the breakfast was decent. Even GPS couldn't find it. The GPS lady just kept yelling at us to turn around,but it was there...way down a dark road. The front desk was sympathetic to our dilemma, but insisted it was because we used the wrong address. It was the one that was posted on the Expedia website. The room was clean, but WOW these rooms are small. I was worried that I would […] break a toe if I got up in the middle of the night and forgot to navigate around the fridge. Clever storage facilities. Cute window seat. Breakfast was great. Even a waffle iron to make your own waffles. I'm not sure that I would opt for this type of room again, especially when I could have gotten something cheaper. I am not a lap of luxury person, only looking for a place to sleep for one night.
