Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Oroville Lake - Oroville

Very nice, newer hotel. Very clean and quiet. Staff was very helpful and courteous. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Oroville.

The entire hotel was clean and well maintained. Rooms were clean and quiet. We didn't have time to use the ppol/spa, but we passed by and could see it was also very well kept. The complimentary breakfast was better than most - complete with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, yogurt, cereal etc, etc, etc... the favorite was the pancake […] machine - just push a button and within a minute you have 2 pancakes on your plate! Friendly front desk, knowledgable staff for dining out, nice breakfast served and again very friendly lady working the kitchen on Friday. She had a son playing in the Oroville H. Big clean rooms; microwave and fridge in room; excellent free breakfast had eggs and biscuits every day, bacon one day. Had to call front desk to get room cleaned but they responded promptly. I would definitely stay here again for business or pleasure.

The staff was extraordinarily friendly and clean. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of items and was excellent for our family. And the staff in the buffet room really helped us out as we prepared for our gymnastic event.

Pros:Extremely clean. Complete breakfast. Nice staff. Cons: Sunday morning must make sure to have pool towels ready by the pool, extra coffee. Coffee ran out around 10:00 on Sunday. Also no free tv channels to watch.

Nice room! Stayed in the ‘executive’ king room that was a regular room on the bottom floor. Very comfortable bed. Loved the shower. Wi-Fi free and worked fine. Didn’t leave the room until 1:00 pm one day and it was perfectly restored when we returned. Desk clerks were very informative about the area. Two blocks off the interstate but not too close to […] hear traffic. Sonic Drive-In and another hotel are right next door and you would never know. Wal-Mart one block away. Hotel is on the main drag so close to most everything. Minutes away from both casinos and the lake. First time to Oroville and the hotel was the best thing going. I love this hotel the staff is super nice, and the rooms are very clean. I love the inside pool, and the free breakfast buffett... This is my 2nd time staying there and I will continue to stay there because it is the nicest hotel in the area!

On a recent trip to Chico we stayed at this Holiday Inn Express. Although it was a bit farther from Chico than we would have liked the hotel was a great place to stay. We were visiting Oroville because of a family funeral. The Holiday Inn staff was wonderful, especially Trista (dining room). She was sensitive to our situation and took extra special time to set up the tables to accommodate our toddlers. The room was comfortable, clean and inviting. The bed was very comfortable!

Our 7 day stay was wonderful. Room A/C worked very well for the hot days, breakfast buffet was hot and fresh each day with a friendly gal acting as waitress to all of us. Close to restaurants and easy access to the main street. Very clean everywhere we looked & no smell of cigarette smoke anywhere. My husband has stayed at this hotel before but I haven't. I really hate staying anywhere but home. I usually can't sleep because the beds aren't comfortable, it's noisy or just because it's a strange place. I slept really good all three nights! This was a first. The staff are all really nice. I got there one hour early and they did let me check in, which I love that. The staff was super nice and the daily breakfast is excellent.

Room was ok. Beds were very hard. Pool temperature was very cold for an indoor pool, and the spa needed to be cleaned. Breakfast in the morning was excellent! Overall good hotel to stay at.

I had a good stay overall. However I did ask the mgr to make the FREE phone call to DirecTV to initiate the FREE baseball trial package but he woulld NOT even try. So much for customer satisfaction. :-(

the hotel was fine for an overnite stay. Nice office area, gym, indoor pool was great since it was pouring. The staff was nice enough, just not very informed. Room was clean and kept. Would stay again for rate-wcheap rates :-)

I requested the front desk for a quite room. But I got a noisiest room I have ever stayed. It is close to elevator, breakfast room, gym room. People talked loud and I can hear each work they said. Cannot sleep for the whole night in a noisiest room with high price I paid!

We have confirmed prior to booking if hotel provides vegetarian b'fast. However, in the morning, we realised that Vegetarian omlet was not available i.e. it had meat inside the omlet and hence we could not have the b'fast, except for bagels and juice.

I was in town on business, and of the options, this was clearly the best. The reviews are correct. It is clean, the folks are friendly. And I don't know what breakfast lady the prior person experienced, but ours was very friendly and cheerful. I would stay here again, and recommend it to anyone.

My first choice when staying in Oroville. I've never had any problems at this hotel, it has always been clean and the staff always friendly. I did miss having a "do not disturb" door hanger in my room, but that is something easily remedied.

This Holiday Inn Express exceeded my expectations. It is conviently located to Hwy 70. It appears recently updated. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Clean, comfortable, and only 25 minutes away from CSU, Chico. If you make graduation reservations too late and need to find a place to stay outside of Chico , you can't go wrong with this hotel. Spacious, clean rooms, breakfast and close to the freeway.
