Nice welcome by the owner. Room needs an overhaul although the en- suite was gorgeous! I feel maybe they are renovating bit by bit.Great to have dog friendly base. Breakfast staff very accomodating and food a good standard. The hotel is lovely with beautiful common rooms. The room we had was quite small but nicely decorated. The bathroom however did need replacing completely. If the bathroom had been better I would have rated the hotel higher.
