Great hotel. Only criticism is with the complimentary breakfast: powdered scrambled eggs. Not up to the high standard of the hotel and its excellent dining room.

What an amazing stay. We got an upgrade upon arrival and the staff was great from start to finish. Trio is beautiful and we had delicious meals both morning and night. The best part? The bed was remarkable. Like sleeping in a cloud that was giving me a hug. We'll definitely keep the Cambridge Suites at the top of our list!

Very comfortable bed; high speed internet was high speed. Skyping with remote family was flawless. Very roomy suites, gym was well equipped and the rooftop patio off the gym was a nice hidden treat. Thought it was very well laid out. The only thing it did not think was right was having to pay for parking when I was at the hotel.

The workers who smoke at the parking lot entrance is horrible for non smokers to have to walk through. There should be another place provided for them to smoke away from guests!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Cambridge Suites Hotel in Sydney and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to other travelers. It is close to the downtown and within walking distance to stores and restaurants although there is a very good restaurant on site that serves excellent food. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

I have stayed here before and enjoyed the experience. Beds are very comfortable and the room was very clean. There was 2 of us in the room so it would have been good to have 2 luggage stands for each suitcase. We just used the ironing board as a second stand. It would also be nice to have a small table or chair in the big bathroom in order to lay some […] things on while having a shower or bath. I brought in a chair from the dining table to use beside the tub. It would also be useful to have a listing in the information booklet about the types of stores and businesses in the immediate area. We had a small kitchenette, but we had to use the phone book to find out the location of the closest grocery store. We also used the phone book to find the closest ATM and Tim Horton's shop. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. The view was good. The resturant provided excellent food at a reasonable price. The hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating as well.

We enjoyed staying in our suite for a one week stay. We attended the Wednesday manager's reception and found the manager personable and engaging. She remembered our itinerary days later! The staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. We have already recommended this hotel to a friend heading to Sydney and would love to stay again ourselves.

Pelmit curtain hanging off, and the toilet wouldn't stop running after use. Suspect the room/suite given to me had not been occupied for some time. Bedroom curtains were very difficult to close.

Each stay with the Cambridge Suites in Sydney is always comfortable, as the rooms are clean, the food great and the staff friendly.

As mentioned above everything was "superb" ......however, the friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff was "SUPERB" and "EXCELLENT" !!!!!! Oh, by the way, check-out time at 1:00 pm was very very convenient for us......I ran in the Fiddler's Run and completed my run around 10:30am.....so I didn't have to rush back to the hotel. Our family of four, which includes two teenage boys, really loved this hotel. The employees were extremely professional and friendly. Our premium suite was large, roomy, well laid out and impressive. We particularly likes the layout of the bathroom in that the tub and toilet were in a separate room from the sink area. This makes it so much easier for […] four people to get ready in morning. There was ample storage with the two closets and lots of room for our family to spread out and enjoy our stay. In addition to the room we enjoyed the restaurant (dinner and full breakfast), the lounge, and the rooftop fitness area. The views from the rooftop were fantastic, and the location on the harbor made for a nice walk in the evening. Finally, the room price was good for a suite and I particularly liked the Aveda products. Very nice touch! I liked this hotel for its downtown location, the staff was very friendly upon checkin and the rooms were very quiet. However the wall paper seems to be peeling off the walls in the rooms, I found this quite annoying as I was unable to relax looking at the loose edges. I just wanted to pull it off! This hotel was wonderful to stay at. Located on the oceanfront boardwalk, the views from the hotel were excellent and the sunsets breathtaking. We stayed in the premium suites and it was the way to go. We got a good rate and two adults and our son fit well, never feeling crampt or wanting privacy as the room and pull out couch were nicely seperated […] in ajoining rooms. The bed was amazing. We came home and bought the same matress two days after we returned, very nice. The room came with 2 LCD TV's as well, a bonus on those rainy days. The staff were always friendly and accomidating. Only 2 complaints. The room received complimentary room service for breakfast and we found the order we gave always was missing something, butter, jam, added items not wanted in the omlets etc, but the food was very tasty. lastly, the hotel is aging and showing its age. Hotel was great; resturant had a great seafood chowder with good local beers and good wines. Room was everything we needed; but the staff was absolutely the best. When our return airplane cancelled, and we had to spend an extra night, they went out of their way to accomodate us. Outstanding; we would recommend to anybody. If there was any drawback, […] it was simply that it took us awhile to get to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, but even with that it was centrally located to the Park, Beddeck and Louisbourg and was very close to the airport and easy to find. Nice hotel, easy in and easy out. Complimentary breakfast was a nice touch.Overall enjoyed my stay and would come back again. Some of the furniture was a bit worn and as a personal preference, I prefer it when hotels have a body wash (rather than just soap), but otherwise, no complaints.

They are extremely pet friendly and very welcoming! They were great with my dog and all of the staff knew her name. They gave her a little welcoming gift that was wonderful and they were very accomodating. I would recommend them to all pet owners and travelers without pets also. Great hospitality and great facility!

We spent a weekend stay here during a recent business trip and were very impressed with the staff and facility. Close to dining and recreation and great environment. The rooms were top notch and I would recommend any of my staff stay here if given the opportunity

The hotel was located next to the harbour. Although my stay was short, it was relaxing. I would recommend the hotel to my family and friends.

Went to Sydney to see Jerry Seinfeld, hotel was a 2 minute drive to the Centre 200 and Casino. Comfortable beds, really clean!!!! Only 1 thing that bothered me was having to pay for parking. I travel alot over Canada and the US and have never had to pay for parking at any other hotel. Having said that it wouldn't deter me from staying there again.

The only problems for me with this arrangement was the prebilling and invoice requirements. I find it best to deal directly with hotel. I was told that everything was included, only to find that there were additions of billing for my stay such as parking.

I drove all the way from Quebec City and arrived late needing nothing from this hotel but some sleep. I checked in and found my room only to hear people partying in a few rooms, shouting and screaming in the hallway and doors slamming. I called the front desk TWICE. This went on until 3am and I had to get the 10am ferry. The problem was never resolved […] or addressed. If I had not be so tired I would have suggested putting me on a different floor, but the front staff never suggested anything to me. I emailed the manager to explain what had happened and all I can tell you is to not even bother. This person never contacted me, not even to offer a discount on a future stay, not even an apology. I am so disappointed and discusted that I will never recommend this hotel to family, friends, or colleagues. Very satisfied with hotel,however the breakfast is the worst I have encountered through all my travels.Variety was meager,i.e fruit was grapefruit cut in two & oranges cut in two. Only whole wheat bread & white. No hot cereals, or fruit variety, waffles. At exactly 9:oo the clean up crew came in & t took the coffee pots away as well as the breads. IT […] WAS OVER Closing at 9 should mean no more admitted, not everything removed, perhaps you might want to top off your coffee or tea. or have another piece of bread. My studio room at the Cambridge Suites in Sydney, NS was clean and tidy - front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and maid service was very good. Suggest extending the complimentary continental breakfast at least to 10 am. LCD TV with only basic cable in the room - no dvd player. Also, it would have been nice to have a bath robe in the room.
