This is one of the more inexpensive hotel rooms in London, but it shows in the size of the room. A very tiny room and bed that would be very uncomfortable for anyone 6' or taller. Bathroom similarly very small. Light in hallway a distraction when going to sleep as the transom above the entry door was glass and did not have a shade over it.

Stayed the night at this hotel which was comfortable and adequate for our needs. Breakfast was an experience with seemingly endless plates of fruit and cold meats being offered by very enthusiastic and friendly staff. This was on top of a fry up, didn't need to eat for the rest of the day! Very helpful reception.

Yes, family oriented hotel with big smiles and a lot of fruits to eat. They don't have much information about London and its entertainment. Make sure you have pounds only no euro money. The location was very convenient for access to the tube/ museums around South Kensington. Room was small but very comfortable. Breakfast was very generous and it was great to have use of the kitchen for dinner in the evenings.

The hotel is located in a upscale neighborhood. It is an ideal base to explore London. The hotel is quite old but has been kept in good condition. Staff are great and love to feed you more than you need. Overall an ideal place to stay for a trip to London.

Very friendly family owned hotel. Lift a bit dodgy. Few problems with lights. High ceilings of a converted house into a hotel. Eccentric and dated, but the location is convenient. The stay at St. Simeon was very pleasing. We enjoyed our stay because they made us feel at home, especially when it was breakfast time. Breakfast was so good! The staff was really nice and allowed me to use their phone to confirm tour times. They also helped my sister out when she called to make sure we were ok. I've stayed in other hotels in Europe and I know they are small compared to the US, but that one was definitely very small. We couldn't even unpack. Despite that, I would stay there again, but I would make sure that we get a bigger room. We picked this hotel based on location, and that a full breakfast was included. The hotel is right off the Piccadilly line, which is the direct line to Heathrow Airport...being that is was our first time to London that was essential. Upon arriving(around 2pm), the Staff was fantastic. They had us help ourselves to fruit and coffee. on first entering the hotel all seemed well. when we were shown to our room. ( 4 bed family room ) we were took downstairs into the basement. Our room was next to the breakfast room & kitchen. IThe room was very basic to say the least.The only window looked out onto a wall that was only about 1foot away, so no daylight could enter.Plus, there was a […] load of rubbish that had been thrown down this gap. The beds were ok comfort wise, but we were woke very early by the noise of the kitchen staff preparing breakfast. Breakfast, now thats another thing...They didnt know how to make a cup of tea. we were served a muddy coloured none discript tastless liquid called tea. The food was eatable, but they tried to serve us loads of fruit that had been laid out on a table in the hallway all the previous day & night. The room was clean, but very small, which is normal for London. The hotel is very dated. The mattress was a bit worn and slightly uncomfortable. There was supposted to be internet avaiable in the lobby, but it was not working the night I was staying. Overall it is OK for a budget hotel in London.

Had a great time here. The staff were very friendly, the room was just as we expected for a budget hotel, no frills but nice! Perfect location! My only problem was that the fire door 4 feet from our hotel room door slammed closed every time someone went through it.

Me and three friends had booked a four bedroom room from St Simeons to go to the Eurogamer Expo at Earls Court. When we arrived we were informed that our room was undergoing maintenance but were more than happy to split us to two rooms for no extra charge. The rooms were basic but not bad at all. The location was perfect as it is just a short walk to Earls Court and an even shorter walk to the nearest tube which takes straight into the heart of London. If I had wanted to spend more time sightseeing I may still pick this hotel due to the area being very safe. Hotel needs major repairs: first day they put us in the room smelled like mold and so dirty that I wanted wash my hands AFTER I washed my hands. I lived in London for years knowing accomodation standard well,it didn't come as suprise the size of the room or the bed. at the same time we were going there just for a weekend,knowing we'd spend very little time in the room so it being small didn't bother us. bathroom was clean, shower super (great pressure, for London it's a wov!!! we were on ground […] floor though) staff is very helpful (although not much of smiley people), nice and willing to give you help with your stay (direction, suggestion etc); breakfast is huge and could sure fill you up for the whole morning. TV works fine with plenty of channels (no fancy stuff but can find good movies) dining room has TV and we used it for chat and drinks once back from our evening out. location is pretty good, close to the tube and a huge Sainsburys (supermarket),many places to eat nearby (head towards the tube or towards Earl's court) including pubs for a drink. if you are a "big" person be careful, our double bed was more like a big single one, not much of a problem for us but i know that many of the USA ppl visiting and writing on here might find it uncomfortable. I would just ask to renew the bath towel stock, some of them have clearly been washed too many times and are like sandpaper on your body. same with the pillows and the floor carpet, they've seen better days. this are small details, overall we enjoyed the place and we will sure consider it for our next weekend in London to see our friends. The location of this hotel is great; it is near a Piccadilly Line tube station and there are a number of restaurants in the area. Beyond that, there is not much going for this hotel. Rooms are terribly small and the bathroom is cramped with a shower that leaks water all over the bathroom floor. St. Simeon is a nice hotel in a very pleasant part of London. The staff were very helpful. Free Breakfast was excellent - a real surprise - and a solid start for a good days sightseeing. We also left an iPod which the staff found and helped to get back to us...nice to see honesty still exists!

Hotel is in a very good southwestern portion of London. Easily walkable to tube stations within 5 minutes. Staff is excellent and very friendly. Breakfast is also very good with a full english breakfast and a lot of fruit to choose from. The rooms are a bit smallish, but are clean.

A good base in an excellent area of London. Felt very safe walking about late at night. Handy for Gloucestor Road tube (5 min walk) and a number of resturants, cafes etc. A further 10 minute walk and you have South Kensington. V&A, Nat History & Science museums 10 min walk. We were in an attic room, therefore coombed ceiling which was an annoyance. TV signal not great. This is not the Ritz but if you are in London to see the city, shop, etc. you don't need (or want to pay) for extra facilities. Its a good solid base. Breakfasts are 'eat as much as you want'. Staff was very friendly. The breakfast was always huge and delicious. This hotel had a great location. Very close to the tube station and not too far from the Natural History Museum (a must see for families and it's free!) Don't expect the huge rooms and bathrooms many are accustomed to in North America but the sheets were clean and beds comfy.

When we checked in, the manager said that we had a very nice triple room. The first room we were given for my husband, my 13 year old and myself was so small you could barely move. It would be surprising if it had more than 3 meters of space for walking. It was so small one the headboard of one of the beds was in the closet, so the closet could not […] be used. I would have been impossible to stay there. After we complained, the manager moved us from the triple to a quad room, free of charge. This room was marginally better as there was a wardrobe in which we could store two suitcases. The room was in the basement, so after taking a shower, towels would never dry. The hotel staff were very nice, but the service was not good. We had to ask for towels to be changed, toilet paper, clean sheets. Finally, the mattresses were old and rock hard.
