Princes Street Suites - Edinburgas

Finding accommodation for three adults in the UK is sometimes difficult. The Princess Street Suites is an ideal location and we wound up with at three bedroom apartment with a washer/dryer which was great since we were in the middle of a 3 week vacation. Staff's very friendly and cost was good for Edinburgh (Maybe because we were there in mid-may.

This is honestly the best vacation rental we have ever had. Absolutely perfect on all counts. Simply amazing value for what we got. We would have expected to pay double the price. Our views were stunning, and we will definitely return on our next family vacation. Rating of 5 does not do it justice.

excellent location. Sub standard facilities. On booking form listed bathrobes etc provided. Untrue. 200 euro a night for a small apartment no.21 whilst my sister paid 135 for a huge suite no.11. We have stayed in aparthotels the world over for half the price with far superior standards. We had no coffee machine. No bottle opener. I stayed in a basement apartment, three floors below ground level, down a long bleak corridor. It was a depressing experience. I asked to move rooms but was told there were none available. The staff were nice and the rooms clean, but I won't be staying there again. If you do choose to stay there, make sure you ask for a room on a higher floor.

Unit was in a perfect location in easy walking distance of most attractions and transport. It was a huge unit with everything you could want for a holiday and was very comfortable.

The location couldn't have been better. The apartment was very cosy and clean. Unfortunately I only stayed for one night but I have since recommended it to friends and family. Great quality accomodation.

If you have kids of varying ages that need space, this is the place. Three bedrooms each with their own TV made our visit comfortable. The living room offered a large TV with DVD player (the desk offers free movies- all genres). The full kitchen made it easy to bring food and snacks back to the hotel for later in the evening or next day breakfast. There […] was even a washing machine for laundry. The desk staff was professional and prompt, as they quickly made arrangements for a crib and high chair. Only downside was no on premises dinning, which was fine becasue many establishments were less than 30 meters away. After a long train journey it was a real treat to enter the Princess Street Suites, the two receptionists were very welcoming and helpful and our suite was brilliant, light and spacious and yet wonderful views to watch the bustle of Edinburgh. We loved staying here and it was exactly what we wanted. Staff were more than friendly and helpful. Our apartment was huge and very modern and comfortable. Stayed here for 2 nights. It is incredible value for money. The studio apartment I stayed in was enormous! High ceilings, lovely bathroom and loads of room. Despite being right in the centre there was virtually no noise from outside (my room had a view of Waverley station) Loved the fact that wifi is free throughout your stay, so many hotels in Edinburgh […] charge for this. The fridge had a few drinks in (water, juice) I drank them and fully expected them to be overpriced. When I checked out I discovered they were only £1 each. Fair pricing. Loved the fact amenities were provided in the bathroom. There is room service in the morning if you require it. All the staff in the reception area were lovely and extremely friendly (even when I was being dim and not being able to get my heating to work or log on to wifi!) and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. If I was going to criticise anything I would say some of the appliances could be better quality (iron, kettle etc) But overall for the price I paid (£70 a night) it was excellent value for money. We enjoyed our stay at the princes street suites but the staff could have been more helpful than they were and some of the dishes had not been cleaned properly.plus, we were told,there would,be bathrobes and slippers in the room but there were not. One of the TV's in one of the bedrooms did,not work.

Princes street suites was booked as a surprise for my boyfriend and we were both extremely happy with my choice. Everything was perfect, location, suite facilities, apartment size and comfort. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone staying in Edinburgh. Also brilliant value for money.

The Princes Street Suites does not live up to the expectations you might find have from looking at the website. The apartments are large and well equipped, however they are little details which they could action to make the apartments much better in feel. Very noise road works going on behind our room the night we stayed; until at least 3am in the […] morning!!! When commenting on check out I was told there had been a couple of complaints, however when i raised the matter with the manger she said there ha been no complaints! We stayed in a two bed apartment in the top floor and I would happily recommend it to anyone. We arrived early to drop off our bags, but instead of putting them into storage the reception staff happily offered to check us in 3 hours early free of charge. They were polite, friendly and very efficient and when we had trouble with our kettle it was sorted […] instantly by a very smile-y member of house keeping. Its a fantastic location (we got a taxi from Waverly train station costing us a grand total of £3.20) however we soon found that we could see one of the entrances from our room (we couldn't HEAR the trains though) and easily walked with our bags when it was time to head home. Its also close to shops, bars and some stunning architecture. The roof top terrace is fab if your a smoker, and I imagine on a sunny day would be just as wonderful if you wern't thanks to the views, the rooms look very much like the pictures on the website and the bride (we were there for a quiet hen do) wanted to stay forever (so did the rest of us mind you!) The apartments are HUGE, superbly appointed and are in a great location. The only down side is lack of parking (not even a bag drop area) which is a fair distance away at the railway station car park. Other than that recommended in every way.

Booked a 1 bed appartment at Princes Street Suites as a change from a normal hotel room after reading other reviews. What a great choice I made ! Just around the corner from Waverley Railway station so very handy for the next morning when I caught my train to Glasgow. On arrival I was told I had been upgraded to a 3 bed apartment so would have plenty […] of room. Only hiccup whas that when entering the apartment I found someone had already been allocated it having left their bag etc. so had to go back to (the 24 hour) reception who were suitably embarassed and apologetic so re-allocated me to another 3 bed apartment ! Massive lounge area with kitchen area off it, fridge had a stock of uht milks and some tea/coffee and washing up liquid all present. Didn't really have the chance to make best use of the space, as I was on my own. Had my own bathroom, plus there was another one for the other two bedrooms. Clean, modern fittings and furniture and comfortable, made a nice change to the usual boring and small hotel room you often get, and all for the same price as you would pay at a 4 star hotel. Book here and you won't regret it - lives up to its 5 star rating. Would be great for either business people or family visiting the city. They also kept my suitcase safe for me the following day while I went to Glasgow and back, as I changed trains at Edinburgh on my return journey home. Skaityti daugiau

I was upgraded to a two-bedroom apartment. Pity I was on my own, otherwise, it would be perfect for a family holiday. The hotel is decorated at high standard. It is 2 minutes on foot from the train station, excellent if you travel by train. I have a fully equip kitchen to cook my dinner one evening which I am very pleased.

I was very happily surprised when I opened the 'apartment' door to view a nicely finished, proper entry foyer. Beautiful wooden floors, high ceilings, contemporary decor and color scheme. As I walked through the amazingly spacious flat, mouth agape, I noted the cleanliness and modern, upmarket feel. I was in a genuine flat. A very large flat! Storage […] everywhere, walk-in closet/wardrobe, huge windows, amazing kitchen-American sized kitchen and a range-hood to envy. The bedroom was large, a queen-sized bed, night tables, no en-suite bath; however, the main bath was huge and well appointed. The one negative in the bath was that the surface the basin rested on was made of painted wood. Water damage to this surface was quite evident and the tap was wobbly. Overall I was very happy with my stay. In fact, were this flat for sale, I'd put an offer in on it...it was that nearly perfect. And one simply cannot beat the location! Skaityti daugiau

This hotel is in a fantastic location but somehow every morning I got some disturbing guests. e.g. someone who check the meter in my room and someone who do the electricity checking. THIS IS VERY disturbing since it is as early as 8 or 9 am. Also I found the wifi is very slow, which only got 30-40 kB/s. No need to take a cab or bus to the hotel as it is just about a 2 block walk. This hotel was much better then expected. It appears that this was a condo or apartment building at one point in time. When we were given our room and told that it was on the -2 floor I was worried, but in all actually we were not in the sub-basement. We were a party of three […] and stayed in room 402. When we opened the door and discovered we were in a full sized two bedroom duplex with two huge bathrooms, a living room, full sized kitchen, etc. was such a treat. The negatives: part of the reason for the booking was the availability of the washer and dryer. To my surprise it was one single unit that supposedly does both. This unit totally sucks. The capacity is very small, we never figured out how to dry the clothes completely and several shirts were ruined (to the point of having to throw them away). Thus, if you have jeans or heavy sweaters to wash be warned that this is not the place to do so. Even after hanging several pairs of pants, etc. it still took three cycles to dry basic socks, underwear, etc. Secondly, there is a programable shower in one of the bathrooms that had bad water pressure and changed temperatures on its own, and in the second bathroom the water did not drain at all and you were up to your ankles in dirty water after a short shower. It was our first time to stay at apartment as we usually stay at hotel. Our experience staying this apartment was really excellent. The room is quite spacious and all furniture and electronics appliances are well maintained and even look new. The location is about 5 min walk from the station. Only problem we faced was laundry. Unfortunately, our request […] for washing machine and drier did not reach the hotel. And all rooms were occupied and there were no washing machine and drier for us. We requested the hotel staff to help us. Although some staff showed their hesitation to do so, anyway, we passed our clothes in the morning and they kindly washed and return them to the room in the evening without any extra charge. I found the hotel in Hotels.com website at a very cheap price, and i was going there with my girlfriend for one night and we are both students, so we are used to not staying at the best hotels and dont actually mind it that much. But this hotels was not at all what we expected, it was sooo good. To start with the location, […] it is located as central as it can be, it was simply the best location u could ask for, simply great. Then the staff who was incredibly helpfull who gave us four free wifi passes to use on all our devices, who didn't charge us for one bottle of water that we took in the minibar, who upgraded us for free, who kept our luggage the next day after we had checked out in the morning so that we didn't have to carrie around a big bag while seeing the city. i mean in one day it is quite limited how much u see of the staff, but of what i saw, they were very nice and incredible professional and made me feel very good. And now to the room, which was so amazing. The best room i have ever stayed in. Clean, with a big bedroom, a big big big toilet with bathtub, and a nice size kitchen, and a bige living room with a big tv and 40 channels or something like that. There was no plug in the bath and a member of staff found the same problem in other empty units when he tried to get a replacement. The shower head is fixed high so if you're short you have to wash your hair whether you want to or not and I didn't want to at bed time.
