Atlantic Affair Boutique Hotel - Keiptaunas

The title of my review says it all. This is a great 4-star hotel with a small staff that provides excellent service. The overall value is outstanding.

Though we only stayed one night, it was an enjoyable experience as the room was clean, updated, and had plenty of amenities. The reception staff is only open until 9pm which is too bad, but there is a security guard on duty to help if needed. I liked the location, it felt local, but trendy and safe. The private parking is a plus too, even though the […] spots are few and small. We did not enjoy the squawk of seagulls all around, but the hotel can't do much about that. Very happy with the accommodation, Room was nicely decorated, clean and spacious. Self catering facilities good for longer stay guests. Staff were very helpful. Locality was good but if you are wanting the buzz of the Victoria Waterfront, this is a little far away from the nightlife. Very handy to the hop on/ hop off bus for sightseeing.

We saw this hotel highly rated on Hotels.com and it didn't disappoint. New and comfortable, and the reception folk warm and welcoming. The only warning is that you really need to have a vehicle (as we did) if you are using the hotel as a base to visit Cape Town. Nice restaurants close to the shore though.

The rooms are spacious and the beds enormous with the bed linen being changed daily. There's a small kitchen in the "superior suite" and a slightly bigger kitchen in the "luxury superior suite". The latter has a separate lounge with a full ensuite in the bedroom equipped with walk-in shower and full bath. The staff are the most wonderful and helpful […] people - they are so efficient, and will bend over backwards to satisfy your needs. BA sent us a text to say that our flight would be delayed by 12 hours (until the next day) - the hotel offered us a room for the night and didn't even charge for it. Their customer care is more than superb. The hotel is in Seapoint which is within walking distance (half an hour) of the best beach: Clifton. But the taxis are cheap, so you can easily walk to the beach and get a taxi back. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Skaityti daugiau

I stayed at the Atlantic Affair Boutique Hotel for 8 nights in the first week of December. The location of the hotel is okay. It is in Sea Point, a short walking distance to the waterfront. It is a small hotel with only 12 rooms. The hotel and surrounding areas are clean, and generally looks safe. I went for walks on the waterfront several times at […] night and didn't feel particularly threatened. The hotel has no restaurant and does not serve breakfast, but there are lots of restaurants on nearby Regent Street, Main Street, and the waterfront. Parking is free at the hotel. The lots are small but my car was never scratched. I had several issues with the room, including being locked out once, when the keys couldn't open the door, problems with the AC, but these were all resolved immediately with the utmost professionalism. The receptionists were always very polite , and ready to help in every way. The room itself was clean, and comfortable. The bathroom has a shower but no bath. The bathroom sink is a decorative piece with no practical usefulness. Wireless and wired internet is free in the room. The hotel has no gym or swimming pool but the waterfront is nearby, where one can get all the exercise one wants. This place is not a Hilton or Sheraton, but it provides comfortable accomodation at an affordable price. I will definitely stay there again when I go back to Cape Town next year. Skaityti daugiau

We stayed here on the front and back end of our Cape Town visit and could not have been more pleased. The hotel is excellent and has a ton of space but the staff it what made it a place that i would so highly recommend (and write a review for). Beyond all of the help in calling and arranging our activities, they two ladies at the desk completely took […] over my search for a bag lost by British Airways. They let us go play all day while they hounded BA while they hounded BA with phones calls. It was tough but they got it back and arranged for it to be sent to the hotel we were styaing at in wine country on night 3. On top of that, one of the ladies even let us borrow her own personal GPS for our two day driving trip. With the service that she provided, I thought that she must be the owner but was very surprised to later meet the owner as he offered to drive my bag to us when it arrived. Despite being close to Sea Point Main Road, this is an excellent, clean, luxurious and self-catering guest house. It was more than reasonably priced, and the service was extraordinary.

There is the reason behind all satisfactory reviews. It's quite a modern building, hidden on a side street at a great location. I love everything of my stay, service is awesome. Staff is always helpful. Very reasonable priced considering we got free upgrade to a suite during their promotion. And I booked with hotels.com coupon, always a plus! Really enjoyed staying here while in Cape Town. So close to supermarkets, laundromats and able to eat in for a night. Waterfront close with restaurants and an easy taxi ride to all of Cape Town's main sights. Staff very friendly and obliging from the welcoming coffee to the minding of luggage. Very professional boutique hotel. excellent value.

A beautiful little hotel tucked away off the main street in Sea Point. Modern, stylish and tastefully furnished. Very clean and fresh. Secure off street parking a bonus but helps not to have too large a car. Many good value local restaurants on the doorstep with the sea front a couple of minutes walk away. The staff members were very accomodating. They were able to answer our questions about Cape Town or find answers to our concerns. We were late night arrivals on our arrival date and Trymore (hotel attendant) stayed outside the hotel's entrance that night patiently awaiting our arrival.

First off, the staff was very helpful and excellent. I arrived late evening and the night guard on duty showed me where I needed to park, had my room key and showed me the particulars about the room. The office staff was equally impressive. Natasha went the extra effort in pointing out places to eat and things to do on my different "tours" around the […] area. The room was very clean and eco friendly. The cleaning staff was top notch from what I could tell. Location was also very good. You could pick up a bus just a few blocks away if you wanted to. The hotel is very quiet and good, despiting missing breakfast option. Rooms are clean, big, and well maintained. Tthe staff was esquisitely friendly, skilled and helpful (thank you for all, Natasha!) and even the security guy has a very good attitude. The only -small - drawback is that you need transportation to reach city Center or the best areas (bus, […] taxi or car). Very pleasant personalised service. Neat location a stones through from the fabulous sea point outdoor swimming pools and the promenade along the Atlantic seaboard makes up for the lack of pool facilities here. My room had a balcony overlooking the sea and the cleanest bathroom in Cape Town.

Our stay was pleasant, but not somewhere we will rush back to. It serves a purpose when in Cape Town as a base in the city. Surprised by fact that no one is on duty at the reception after 9pm in the evening. Security staff on duty made to sit outside not in the reception area, is this the way to treat staff in this day and age.

We stayed here for four nights and found that this was by far the best accommodation in every respect that we have enjoyed in our four week visit to South Africa. Friendly, helpful staff - thank you, Natasha for the individual attention - and a good value alternative if you have a car and want to go sight-seeing independently, perhaps opting to take the fine wine and deli treats to eat in your room. What they say is what they mean. Quality service (down to the smallest detail), quality accommodations (including the beautiful orchids in the room). A place with class - personal art exhibit throughout the premises. A block and a half from the ocean. Our experience at this hotel far exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect! The rooms are spacious and very well maintained..Great shower and a functional kitchenette. Very contemporary design. But the best part is the staff - they were helpful and accomodating..they gave my husband and I a laptop to use in our room and a cell phone to use […] while in Cape Town. We are from the US and eventhough we purchased an international plan our phones didn't work. Talk about customer service. LOVED IT! Can't wait to get back - not that far from the V&A Waterfront - you can catch a bus cheaply. One block from the ocean. No complaints - I would definetely recommend. The hotel is in a very good location, near the CityTour bus line and a long but easy walk to the V&A Waterfront (~1 hr). Very modern decor, extremely clean, top quality beds & linens, and quiet. As soon as myself and my girlfriend arrived we were greeted with a complimentary drink each (cold water was our choice after the 12 hr flight!). The person at the front desk showed us to our room, along the way the decor and the common space was simple, modern and clean. We got to our rooms which were massive. The bed was more like a triple bed than […] a double bed. The room had wireless internet, a mini bar / fridge, a power shower and a satelite TV. There was also a kitchen sink, cutlery and a microwave to suit our cooking requirements. The staff went out of their way to do anything and everything for us, to the point where I personally felt a bit guilty. Being of South African heritage I was familiar with the liveliness of Sea Point and it was great to be situated smack in the middle near supermarkets and restaurants. To top off the trip the owner of the hotel took us for lunch at a top of the range beach side restaurant before we left, he was a charming gentleman and I suppose that was his way of saying "thank you for choosing us". Amazing hotel. Really well thought out and modern. Greeted with a drink. They were expecting us. Lovely room, with a preposterous size bed. Great shower; powerful and large. There were no views from our room but that was not really a problem for us. They gave us a free local mobile while we were there and you can even borrow a GPS unit if you want. […] They provide travel adaptors. There is no food available but lots of local places to eat. It is also easy to order takeaway. They will order it for you! You have a mini bar and an honesty bar in the lobby. Drinks were very cheap for a hotel; R90 for some miniature bottles (£0.90). Situated in “Sea Point”. 5 minutes drive to the Waterfront and 10 minutes drive to city centre. Has secure parking. We were there for a week and it was a lovely home away from home. They were almost too helpful and you felt bad asking for things, as you knew that they would go out of their way to do whatever they could. The hotel owner took us out for dinner one night to a lovely restaurant. Never had that before! He designed the hotel based on what he expects when travelling. I would definitely recommend Atlantic Affair Boutique Hotel, as it provides unbelievable value for money. The place does not have the wow factor of "O' on Kloof" (down the road) or the grand hotel style of "12 Apostles" but is a lovely boutique hotel which definitely impresses. Skaityti daugiau

We were impressed with the personal reception, location and the comfort and design of the rooms. Art deco meets comfort chic! Perfect boutique hotel. Location was great - 5 min walk to the waterfront, great restaurants and shops, and close to the V&A waterfront and city centre.

I spent quite some time at this little hotel in November 2013, and had a wonderful time. Rooms are elegant and very comfortable, and include a little kitchenette. Location is great, close to the sea front, perfect for long walks. There is a really nice outdoor pool down the road as well. Many restaurants and cafés nearby, don't miss the Tom Yum thai […] restaurant at 72 Regent Rd. Staff at the hotel, Desi, Sandra, Natasha and Trymore, were really helpful, professional and nice.
