The hotel was fine, the room was comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. The service was not good. When I called to confirm my online reservation, the lady was rude and seemed like she had no idea what I was talking about. We had questions about the room rates and she did not explain it very thoroughly. When we checked out, there was a […] mess of confusion about my payment and I ended up getting charged twice. It was on a Sunday, so I didn't get refunded the pretty sizeable amount I was owed until Tuesday....VERY annoying. But we did enjoy the time we didn't have to deal with the employees. I choose this hotel because it has a shuttle, is close to the airport, has really comfortable beds in nice size rooms with fridge & microwave, serves a good, hot breakfast with protein choices, and employs very friendly, helpful staff at the front desk, and in housekeeping. We had only booked 1 night, & when it turned out we could stay all 4 days, the […] front desk was able to move us simply across the hall since the handicapped room was needed for a previous reservation. Hotel room was very clean. Location was decent. In Fairbanks, you are generally pretty close to most things, and there isn't really a reason to stay downtown.
