Riad Kniza - Marakešas

This is how it is done. We were greeted by the manager, offered tea in a downstairs lounge followed by a sumptuous breakfast spread on the roof terrace. All this before check-in time! Meals are served when you want, where you want. There are no bills to sign, and guests are very courteously greeted every time they appear. Rooms are beautifully appointed […] and everything works perfectly. A free guided tour of the city is provided, and the desk will make restaurant bookings and provide a guide if you wish. On the day of our departure we left the room at 12 but didn't need a taxi until 4pm; as a final courtesy we were offered the free use of a spare room in which to shower and change. I move my wife & I to this riad following a disasterous initial nights stay at another riad in the tourism district (Riad Palais Sultan that did not come cheap). Riad Kniza saved my holiday and i cannot thank the staff enough for making us feel very welcome. The riad itself is stunningly beautiful.

From the moment we arrived in Marrakech to the moment we left, we felt very well looked after by the staff of Riad Kniza. We were met at the airport by a courteous driver who brought us as close as a vehicle can get to the riad. A porter met us and took us through the market to the riad. This was truly an authentic Moroccan market experience with the […] sights and sounds of local people and the smell of spices in the narrow streets. In the middle of all this activity is an oasis of pure calm, the Riad Kniza. The reception formalities were carried out in a relaxed way, with refreshments served in a very comfortable sitting room. The riad is fitted out with beautiful antique furnishings and has very attractive architectural features inside. All room are arranged around open air courtyards and our room was very comfortable and well furnished. The air conditioning worked fine and was very necessary with temperatures up to 44 deg C. Although the riad building style does seen to keep things surprisingly comfortable. We enjoyed the beautifully presented courtyard swimming pool, which is partially open to the air but shaded for the most part, meaning it can be used even in the heat of the day. The roof terrace has nice views across the roof tops to the mosques and some shaded sitting areas with seating and cushions. We chose to take most of our meals in the riad. The quality was excellent and the quantity ample. We liked the absence of a fixed menu and the ability to discuss preferences and choices for our evening meal. The breakfasts are enormous with plenty of choice and include a hot dish! The most impressive aspect of Riad Kniza is the excellent staff who go to great lengths to make you feel welcome. Somehow they managed be there when you wanted something but never in the way. I have a certain hesitation about writing in such a positive way in case we find Riad Kniza is full when we decide to return.! Skaityti daugiau

Meraviglioso Riad, con persone eccezionali e servizio eccellente: E' all'interno della città vecchia, con tutti i vantaggi e gli svantaggi di essere in mezzo ad una Kasbah.
