Sylva Inn - Sylva

My stay was fine, but, the General Manager, at check in, was somewhat rude and very sarcastic! The hotel is being remodeled, but, my room was comfortable. The continental breakfast was just "ok". No one was there to monitor or ask questions or assistance. I would stay again.

My son and I were in the area for a tour of Western Carolina University. The Sylva Inn was in close proximity to the campus, and also afforded us the opportunity to check out Sylva, where we ate dinner. The staff at Sylva Inn was very friendly and helpful. The Inn was both attractive and comfortable. We would stay there again.

the front desk young man, Luke was great at check in! When we woke the following morning there was no hot water. We took our concern to desk twice, no one ever apoligized. Bad service and will never stay again.

Cleaner than our last visit while it was still a national chain. Mattresses need replacing, all sag towards the center. Need breakfast options with low/no carbs and gluten free.

Considering that there were 4 schools staying overnight for a band competition, everything was very good. The children were exceptionally good and quiet. Our stay was very satisfactory. Continental breakfast offerings were very nice.

price was right, room was okey. People at desk were very friendly. I passed on the breakfast. Was not impressed. Would stay again if in the area. There are not very many hotels in Sylva.

We stayed for one night at the Sylva Inn while visiting Western Carolina University.We were pleasantly surprised - did not expect much given the inexpensive rate we found. But the room was very clean and fresh. Very comfortable bed and linens. Clean bathroom. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area!

This inn used to be the place to stay in Sylva, but unfortunately it hasn't been updated in the last twenty years or so. The staff were very friendly and efficient, but the inn is a bit shabby and is beginning to show its age. The carpet in the hallway has a musty smell. The room lacked microwave or a fridge and the heating unit was ancient. When the […] heat was on, the unit was so loud, we ended up turning it off at night so we could sleep. The TV had been purchased well before the flat screen days. The linens and towels were clean, and the staff were courteous. There was also free Wi-Fi. All in all we probably won't stay again. For the price, it wasn't a good value. The inn isn't cheap. For the same price, we could've stayed in the Holiday Inn and had a better experience. Skaityti daugiau

It was nice but when we checked in had to wait and front counter for at least 5 minutes before anyone knew we were there. Other than that our stay was nice.

Our stay in Sylva was nice but the Sylva Inn isn't nearly as nice as when we stayed there a few years ago. It needs a lot of up-keep. Our toilet constantly ran and leaked in the back onto the floor. I noticed a lot of things that needed to be repaired and cleaned more efficiently. The people were nice and friendly

The hotel has severe signs of mold in the bathrooms. The vents look like they have never been cleaned. The overall appearance of this hotel is shabby. The wallpaper in the room was peeling. The ceiling paint showed water damage. I will not be staying at this hotel again. The price of the room was outrageous for what was offered.

The hotel was clean, rooms your average for price. Main complaint is no marking for entry for hotel. Right on major highway and we arrived after dark and nothing to warn drive on right and was not lighted. Passed it and had to go down and turn around. The outer stairwell door not locked anyone could get in and only 1 elevator. Took forever

The room was a non-smoking room. Knowing I was arriving, the air was not on in the room. The room was hot and stuffy and smelled like a day-old ashtray. It was almost more than I could stand. Once the air had been own for about 2.5 hours, the smoke smell began to leave the room. I had to average this rating for the two nights I was there. The first room I was in was a designated "smoking" room - I had selected it online because it was the only type of room available with a King size bed. Everything in the room smelled so bad, though, that I couldn't sleep - I had to put towels on the pillows because even the linens on the bed […] smelled. I asked for another room the next morning, and the staff graciously accommodated my request. The second room was pleasant enough. The hotel is off of the highway, and kind of hard to see - especially at night. It is generally a comfortable hotel. Breakfast was the standard continental breakfast fare. We are satisfied with the hotel services with a lot choices in the hot breakfast . The only thing that needs to be improved or cleaned is the pool area. But we love our stay, very comfy bed and pillows.

worst night i have had in years of travel. slamming doors, trucks traveling, the highway and the noise. the a/c noise on and off all night. very low quality hotel!!!

The room smelled damp from the AC, and the bed was very uncomfortable. Continental breakfast was pretty good, as well as the staff. We would have like to have seen the rooms in better shape.

Overall it was very nice. The matress was old and needed replacing, but everything else was in good order and worked.

Finally a hotel you can feel comfortable walking around barefoot! The bathrooms were typical, but the beds and bedding was unbelievable! A 2 star hotel with 5 star bedding

We were wanting to see "Unto these Hills" and did not want to travel back home 2 hours after the play. All the motels in Cherokee were full so we chose the closest avaliability. We were pleasantly surprised in the motel. Check-in and check-out was quick and friendly. The motel was quiet and the beds very comfortable. We were not interested in pool or […] breakfast, but noticed that they had both. I would rather stay there than another place if I returned. They told me that they were rehabbing. I saw non of that or trucks that were suppose to be there. They said me my room was one that was finished. It looked liked if it was not up grated at all.

Used to be Comfort Inn and its easy to see why they jumped ship. This place is ready to be leveled. So run-down and deeply dirty there is no coming back, either for the facility or the customer. Unfortunate because at least some of the staff was professional and friendly. Don't stay here.

Room had a stopped up sink. The clerk did not know how to fix it nor did he know who to call to fix the problem. He wanted us to use the bathroom in the lobby.

I love to swim, so was disappointed to learn that the hotel pool was closed for painting.. loud..noise from neighboring rooms was startling at night. The staff was friendly and helpful, however, and the buffet breakfst was excellent. Easy to get to downtown Sylva from Highway 74.

It's an older property that hasn't had much updating in a while. Weeds in front were knee high so the curb appeal isn't the greatest. There was noticeable highway noise in our room which was located facing the highway - the other side might be quieter.
