"Harrison Hall in Delaware"
I would recommend this hotel to others w/ the condition they know that the parking is across the street on the next block (we parked along the street only because we were early enough to find a space) & that they can forget getting the "free" pastries & fruit that was promised; we found NONE; the coffee was watered down, BUT they did have flavored creamers […] which we like, so with the "thin" coffee we had "flavor". "Harrison Hall Hotel- okay for what we paid"
Stayed at this hotel friday thru monday. the hotel room was a nice size and had everything that I needed. The only complaint I have about the room was that it smelled absolutely horrible. The elevator is a little iffy too....

"Harrison Hall, the new place to be"
We were pleasantly surprised by our visit this year. We used to go to HH but it was run down, they have refurbished pasts of the rooms, the entire lobby area with new chairs and couches, coffee machines and internet access and a big screen TV. The new bigger sturdier rocking chairs are very nice also. We will keep going back.

Spent 2 nights here with my sister, just a quick girls' weekend. We had a great time, and for the price HHH was just what we needed. I wouldn't bring my kids back here for a weeklong stay, just because yes the rooms are on the small side. "small rooms"
Rooms were small and smelled like feet. I sprayed Fabreeze on floor and that took care of the problem. I booked two smoking rooms thru hotels.com only to find out when I got there that there are NO SMOKING ROOMS in the hotel....Not a big deal for me but might be for others. Ok room for the price. Will go there again
"Close to the water, close to everything."
The porch is perfect location and view of the ocean, the rooms are little small, and the walls are paper thin, but if you want to be on the beach at an affordable price this is very good location.

"ocean city stay"
Harrison Hall reminded me of an old hotel from the westerns on tv. It was clean but had only 1 elevator that took forever, and 1 ice machine that was ALWAYS broken. The beautiful porch and rocking chairs The locale of the hotel itself was wonderful.
"Lesson Learned!"
After reading the reviews, I figured this hotel wouldn't be "that bad"! Well, it wasn't "that bad", but could definitely use some improvement!! 1) Yes, the rooms are SMALL. It wasn't too much of a bother since it was only me and my 10 yr old. 2) Yes, the funiture/rooms are in much need of an UPGRADE. The furniture was quite old and a bit dusty. 3) […] The room had an infestation of little tiny flies (maybe sand flies). On the first night, we found a massive moth on the ceiling. Luckily, I'm not too "squeemish" about killing bugs. 4) The room telephone was old and extremely filthy! I'm not sure how the maid could "clean" the room and not wipe off brown, built up crud off of the phone. I had no use for the phone, but it was just gross to look at it. 5) The staff was pleasant..nothing special. 6) Great location on the boardwalk and just steps away from the beach. 7) I enjoyed sitting out on the front "porch" of the hotel. All in all, it was too bad for 2 nights, but I definitely wouldn't stay there longer than that. "horrible"
Front desk clerk very unfriendly. Room was sprayed with a strong deodorizer upon arrival. When smell went away the musty smell was unbearable. Would not walk around room without flip flops. Couldn't sleep due to thinking something was crawling on me. We travel a lot & this was absolutely one of the worst places so far. "great for what we needed"
All we needed was a place to store our things and a place to sleep. We are not picky so if you are looking for somewhere with brand new everything this is prob not the place for you. Location is great. Loved the front porch overlooking the beach and boardwalk. Room was clean. The reason we gave a 3/5 on maintenence was the ice machine was not working […] and the maintenence guy kept telling us "in an hr...but it wouldnt be fixed". They did however supply ice at the front desk if u needed it on our second night. The reason for the 4/5 on comfort was because one bed was comfortable and the other was saggy like it needed a new mattress or box springs. Also the shower temp and pressure was difficult to maintain. Overall though a great experience. Would stay again. If you intend on staying in the hotel room the entire time we would probably not recommend this hotel as there are things that could be updated. But, like I said, it was perfect to sleep at night and store our things while we were on the beach and boardwalk. Staff was friendly and check in/out was a breeze. Would definately stay here again. "Nice For The Price!"
The Harrison is a little outdated inside but was comfy and clean! Staff was very friendly. Easy check-in & check-out. Very nice location on the boardwalk. The beach, restaurants, entertainment, shopping, amusement rides & games all within walking distance. We would stay at the Harrison again. :-)
"Harrison Hotel Ocean City, MD"
This hotel was just what I was looking for. An old fashioned hotel with a porch overlooking the ocean. Friendly people and an olympic size swimming pool. We enjoyed the rocking chairs, the continuous coffee in the lobby and the wicker sitting room which played continuous movies and had the fabulous view. "Definitely a 3, but not if you want luxury"
This hotel was wonderfully located on the boardwalk and check in was a breeze and parking was convenient. A nice but busy convenience was a washer and dryer, but there is only one of each. We did not have a problem getting access, but I can see where that could be an issue. There are lots of young college age and early 20's there partying and hanging […] out, but we like that and the noise was worth the energy. "Harrison Hotel - just what we needed"
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The great thing about this hotel, other than the excellent location, was the terrific porch and lobby. Complimentary coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby, as well as a guest computer and free wi-fi. My teens loved it--we'll definitely stay there again.

The only saving grace for the hotel is the large deck with huge rocking chairs that overlooks the boardwalk, beach and ocean. The hotel is in need of a serious facelift with new paint and carpets) and it smells funky. Rooms were very small but clean. Regardless of the affordable rates, I would not recommend this hotel.

Our room was on the 5th floor and smelled like a stinky foot. I was afraid to walk around on the carpet without my shoes on - it felt sticky, was stained and is probably where the smell was coming from. "Carpet damp and order smell"
Me and my family paid for 2 nites stay but we end up pack our bags and went home before the second night stay. We can live with room been small and compact, but the carpet was always smell damp and mixed with foot odor. Everything else was okay.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to stay in especially if you have small children, there is no tub just a stand up shower...so very hard to bathe children..no table in the room for you to eat breakfast or anything at..so my 7 yr old had to eat on the floor..the rooms are very small, the tv was all but broken and the front desk staff was not very friendly […] at times. "Harrison Hotel at Ocean City"
We got to the hotel at 4:00 p,m. the room was way to small and the shower are so tiny and very uncomfortable, things were broken like the soap dispensers, toilet seat, electrical outlets, TV was not working (way too old), elevators' flooring is in poor condition. Generally the Hotel needs up grade. At least the beds were very comfortable.

Went there with my sister. Great location if you want some affordable beach/boardwalk time. Her comment was "this is fine for us to get drunk and crash but definitely wouldn't be happy if my boyfriend brought me here." That pretty much sums it up. You get what you pay for. Each floor had it's own smell. My husband went to bed the first night with sand on his feet and we returned to the hotel the next day after it was "cleaned" the bed was made but the sandy sheets remained. If you want all of the comforts of home, stay at home. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a location on the beach & boardwalk, a place to sleep, shower, and change clothes. The rooms and bathroom are very small, but we didn't spend much time in them. The decor is old, but clean. As for bugs, none of my family saw any, not even a fly. […] This hotel had the best porch and pool by far of any of the hotels on the boardwalk, which alone is the main reason we will return. "Bad hotel choice"
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Our air conditioner was broken, the shower door fell off and the carpet was gross. The had no wi fi, no printer for boarding passes and no breakfast. Parking is also located a block away. There were random people sleeping on the lobby furniture all night. I would not stay here again.

This was the second worst hotel I have stayed in ever. There was mold in the tub and on the walls. The carpets were dirty and the room was very musty. It is an old hotel and thats okay, but the cleanliness was so bad. The hallways are narrow and you can barely get your luggage down the hall. An older hotel with great location. This is a great hotel for ppl who are mostly going to be on the beach and boardwalk. It's a great location. A liitle tight quarters, but it was clean.

2nd year that I have stayed and have enjoyed the location, the porch and pool. Rooms are older but well kept and clean-the lobby is very comfortable and the porch is great for people watching!

Great location for boardwalk access. Nice front porch and casual atmosphere. Great pool and pool bar. The rooms however are small and very dated. Everything needs to be updated (furniture, carpet, walls, etc.) Single slow elevator.

Excellent oceanfront location on boardwalk near shops, restaurants. Park your car and walk everywhere, if you choose. Rooms are clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. Lobby is inviting with furnishings similar to a sun room. Oceanfront front porch to relax and watch boardwalkers is excellent plus.

"Can't be the location of this Ocean Front Hotel"
I have to say, for the extremely low price I got I was expecting something really crappy... so I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in to my ocean view room. It was small, but clean. It had a clean pool which we just loved. The staff was wonderful too. When I arrived I parked my car and thanks to the great location, I didn't have to move it one […] time during our stay, we were so close to everything.
