Langley Bank Guest House - Ayr

Beautiful house and very helpful owner. We had an early ferry so he got up early to cook us breakfast, very nice of him.

I shared a triple room. It was huge, with a seating area and adequate en suite. There was a great choice for breakfast and it was beautifully cooked. Very friendly owners made us feel very welcome. Great value for money.

Only criticism is that the double bed is a bit small for two people in their sixties.

The Langley Bank is everything you would want from a guest house. The rooms are generously sized, the decor is fresh and modern and everything is kept spotlessly clean and tidy. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and offers reasonable variety. I wouldn't hesitate to book again if visiting the area.

Everything was perfect. The only problem was that wifi didn't work in the room, but I asked the owner and she gave me a plug and it worked perfectly. So really there is nothing to complain about at all! We loved the stay here and highly recommend it.

Everything is fantastic, great welcoming hosts, comfy and cosy room, modern and spacious bathroom. Breakfasts were fab and extensive! Location great, 5 mins walk down the road to the town centre. Free off street parking. Well worth the money.

My wife and I stayed here on a Saturday, and we found the Langley Bank Guest House perfect for our purpose. We spent a lovely Saturday afternoon in the town itself, followed by going to the cinema in the evening. We finished our day off with a fine walk along the seafront before returning to the Langley Bank to have, what I can only describe, as the […] best nights sleep I have ever had outside of my own home (& I have recently just returned from a 15 night stay on the Jumeirah Palm in Dubai!). Langley bank guest house is a wee gem in Ayr. Centraly situated, its a 5 to 10 minute walk to the esplanade and the same into town if you go the direct route. The guest house itself is a fantastic old building well maintained and very very clean. Highest ceilings I've seen in a house for a long time. Stay was excellent, I had a room on the front and felt that if there had been blackout curtains that would have helped with the little traffic noise I experienced, but on the whole near enough to the centre and a pleasant stay.

Very comfortable. The hosts were superb. The location was fairley central and yet tranqil.The room was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and spacious.We would reccommend it to anyone of any age and would go back again when next in the area. Cleanliness and welcoming is our priority. It ticked all our boxes.

Very pleasant, clean, efficient small hotel. The couple who own and run it could not have been more pleasant and helpful. We found it hard to locate because Ayr is now so large and we had no detailed instructions. There was parking in front of the hotel which was a bonus. This hotel is in an excellent location to tour the area. Bob and his wife are excellent hosts and were most helpful when organising a bikers needs. Room, service and meals are well above an expected standard. Will dwfinately use this guest house again and would certainly recommend it for all types of traveller.

Lovely spacious, tastefully decorated room with comfortable beds beaufiful linen and comfortable pillows. The hosts were lovely people and the breakfast very good. We enjoyed our stay and slept so well after a week of travel in some noisy hotels and B&B's. It was a most enjoyable stay.

Bob and Morna demonstrate wonderful hospitality, even to the extent of allowing us to stay longer in the room because my wife took sick our last day there. Bob even offered us custom breakfasts each day by telling him the day before what we would like to eat (smoked haddock or haggis, for example). The place is quiet, only 5 min walk from downtown Ayr, […] 10 min from the shore, and only 1.2 miles walk from Robert Burns birthplace and the "Bridge o'Doon". The bus stop is only 100 feet away, and restaurants and pubs are only 5 min walk. Even the train station is only a 10 min walk. It was the most relaxing environment I've experienced.
