The Shore at Katathani - Puketas

I have travelled to over 30 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels and I think that this was the best that I have stayed in. From start to finish everything was perfect, the answer to every question was yes and the villas are just amazing.

Excellent service and good quality villa. Very little direct sun light onto our terrace or private pool and very poor wifi service, particularly on the evenings.

Well worth the money. I felt like royalty staying there! The staff is so cordial and wonderful! The accommodations are spectacular. I had no trouble just making myself comfortable. My only caveat to staying there was the amount of stairs I had to climb to get to my room. That, however, is easily remedied by the ready availability of staff-chauffered […] golf carts. Our arrival was hit off with a beautiful floral token that instantly relaxed us after the long flight! Our room was at the top (highly recommend!!) and set amidst the canopy of the tropical, lush landscape. Our bedroom afforded a fantastic view of Katathani Beach and the streetscape. This was our honeymoon, we stayed here for 10 nights and was worth every penny. Highly recommended. The hotel/resort staff are very helpful and will help you with anything you need, from activities to shopping visits to golf buggying you around the resort. This hotel/resort will not disappoint you.

This was truly the most magnificent hotel experience I have ever had. The location of the hotel is amazing, the views superb, the staff could not be more friendly. This is an ideal couples getaway - I don't think they allow children - we didnt see any. The low season rate was very reasonable too.

Let me start with the positives first. The staff are very friendly, service is great, and they will go out of their way to help you. I got the seaview pool villa, which was huge, had a large pool and very clean. I was pleasantly surprised that the private swimming pool was perfectly clean after every room service. The room couldn't have been any better. The […] Shore has a private spa, private restaurant and private garden for suntanning. Private meaning all other guests of Kathathani resort are not allowed to use of The Shore's facilities, BUT guests of The Shore are allowed to use all the facilities of the less luxurious Kathathani Beach Resort and Kathathani Phuket Beach Resort. How cool is that? The Shore is the only hotel in the area with a common infinity pool that is long and deep enough to swim laps. The other 2 hotels pretty much have wading pools with lots of people/kids and are just too noisy for swimming. Now let's move on to the negatives. Firstly, this hotel is in the middle of nowhere, ideal for retirees and honeymooners, but otherwise, there is practically nothing to eat or shop outside of the hotel! When I first saw the reviews, I was mistaken that The Shore is on Kata Beach, which is very happening with lots of shops and restaurants. The Shore is on "Kata Noi" beach, a secluded area far from Kata Beach, and the taxi operators know that so they charge you an arm and a leg for a ride out. The food is very expensive at the hotel, expect around 300 baht for a simple Thai noodle dish, so I ended up eating at the "Orchid Restaurant", the only decent local eating house nearby, where the Thai noodles cost $80 baht. On this note, I should mention that if you really want to eat at The Shore, order room service. The food comes in very fast, hot and intact, and it's the same price as eating at the restaurant downstairs. My husband and I decided to splurge and book a villa at The Shore. It was the most amazing resort we have ever had the pleasure to stay at! The room was exceptional with beautiful views and lovely attention to detail. The service was also tremendous and the location right on Kata Beach was perfect! You will not be disappointed!

We have stayed at some top class hotels in our time, but this one beats them all hands down. Their attention to detail is staggering, and the food and drinks are so cheap (£1.50 for a beer!). Our villa had a private pool and although it didn't face the sea, it did have glorious views over the palm tree covered mountains - magnificent. The villa itself […] was huge, with every possible amenity you could ever think of (pre-loaded ipod and mosquito repellant were two of the most surprising). I don't want to tell you of all the absolutely wonderful little touches they do to make your stay special, as they were such a lovely surprise each day. Don't worry about the villas being on the side of the mountain, they have 24hour golf-buggy service to ferry you up (and down if you want too). The location is fabulous, lots of restaurants/bars close by, and the beach is to die for - the water is like stepping into a warm bath, and the curve of the bay makes the sea very gentle here. I stayed here for five nights. The hotel is excellent. The pool villas are very large, well designed and clean. Most of them have excellent ocean views in a very private setting. The service was excellent and truly warrants a five star rating. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel - food is low in fiber so can cause bloating and upset tummy. Phuket is not that exciting and the beaches were all covered in rubbish that kept washing up ashore.....sorry but not a very nice place at all - I don't care how cheap it is I will never go back.

We had an amazing exerience and loved every minute at the Shore at Katathani. Our room and view were dreamy and no connecting walls to another villa. Luxury that was hard to leave. The Shore is an expansion of the Katathani Resort and everything is new and fresh. We usually don't go back to the same hotel or location so we can have new experinces but we are really considering go back to the Shore but we would try and avoid the peak price period. The beautiful views, your own private pool and luxurious room make The Shore at Katathani an ideal place to stay. The staff are very friendly, well versed in English and always helpful. We did enjoy the fact that no children under 12 are allowed as this was very relaxing. There are children at the sister resort - Katathani Beach resort which was fine. […] We enjoyed the restaurants on the grounds but it's also close enough to walk to other restaurants or take a short taxi ride into Kata for a myriad of choices. We were lucky enough to arrive for the Loy Krathong festival and they had a special dinner with Loy Krathong floats for each guest and flying lanterns that we lit after dinner and watched fly away. The beach is very nice with no road to cross. Enough stands on the beach that you can get a massage, a drink or jet ski but not so much that it's intrusive. We saw a wedding one evening - it looked lovely - and we got to enjoy the fireworks along with the wedding party. 这次在katathani度过了一个非常完美的假期。因为是一家四口出行，所以当时预订了双卧室的套间，到了才发现是一个双层别墅，上下各一间卧室，一层有客厅和游泳池，非常宽敞舒服。其实katathani是一个很大的度假村，几乎占据了整个小卡塔海滩，而the shore最为整个度假村最高端私密的一块，是独立管理与服务的，所有的服务人员都非常亲切和蔼，服务非常周到。酒店可以直接通往卡塔海滩，而卡塔海滩也美的出乎想象。总之，一切都非常完美，下次来普吉还想来住the shore at katathani。

如果喜歡熱鬧，泡吧的可能不適合。這遍海攤很偏遠，卻十分安靜跟乾淨。海景房的景色很美，房間格局很舒適，可以泡在自己的泳池游泳或者旁邊的沙發曬太陽。吃飯的話，連著三間同集團的飯店餐廳能選擇，街角也有兩家餐廳。只有位置偏了點，去其他地方都要搭車搭很久。

4/29～3泊。白で統一されていてとても清潔感のあるホテルでしたが、虫が尋常じゃないくらい多かった、、、。蚊も多かった。虫除けスプレーが部屋においてあります。女の子だけで泊まるのは虫が嫌いならきついかも。 ホテルのスタッフは皆優しく、サービスも行き届いてました。 ただ、朝食が6時～になっているのに、6時過ぎから行ってもほとんど準備されていない状態。7時ころまでいましたが、その時間でやっと揃ったかなって感じでした。 ピピ島などのツアーに参加するさい、お迎えがホテルのフロントまで車で来るはずですが、7人乗りの車など、少し大きくなるとザショアのほうには入れないようで、カタタニのほうまで移動しました。移動はホテルのカートでしてもらえたので楽でした。日本語の話せるスタッフはいませんでした。 カタ地区で […] 、少しはじっこで静かに過ごせるし、でもちょっと出ればレストランなどもあり、また、ツアーに参加するときなどは、カタ地区なので追加料金なども発生せず、場所的にもとても良かったと思います。 Skaityti daugiau

２月に友人と二人で３泊４日の弾丸旅行で利用しました。初プーケットでした。 まず綺麗な花輪とレモングラスのお茶と満面の笑顔で迎えられてほっこり。 スタッフがホスピタリティにあふれ、バギーを運転しているお兄さんがいつも楽しくニコニコ話してくれました。 部屋の説明をしてくれた女性も感じがよくて、 送迎やタクシーの手配とかもいつもホテルにお願いしました。 日本にも欧米のホテルにもない、気さくなかんじが私はとっても気に入りました。 さすが微笑みの国～と思ったけれど、お店とかはそうでもなかったのでここだけかな… かえってチップが少なかったかと今更反省しております… お部屋には感動！可愛くてとくに女性は絶対に気に入ると思います♪　 すべて斜面にあるヴィラなので、バギーでヴィラまで送り迎えしてもらえます […] が、 ちょうど私たちのヴィラは下のほうだったので普通に歩いて移動しました。 ちょうど空いていたみたいで、シービューで予約してなかったのに、シービューにランクアップしてくれました。 ルームサービスも３００バーツくらいでおいしかったです。カッパオを食べました。 カタタニビーチ、とくにショアの前は本当に水が透き通っていてきれいでした。 魚とかも泳いでるのが見れてしあわせでした。 カタにもぶらぶらしに行ったけれど、こっちのまったりしてるほうでよかったね～と友達と話していました。 日本人よりも欧米の観光客が多く、日本語をしゃべるスタッフはほとんどいなかったです。 （一応１人、日本語喋る人もいるらしく、日本語の案内が書いてある紙をもらえました。） レストランの前の長椅子でのんびりしながら本を読んだりするのが最高でした。 あと何気にホテルの前のプールもインフィニティーブルーで素敵。 Expediaは送迎がついてないので空港→ホテルは日本からホテルに電話してお願いしました。 英語があやしい私が電話したので心配でしたが、ちゃんときれいなバンがきてくれました～ ４５～５０分ほどかかるので、１５００Bは比べるとちょっと高い気もしましたが、 あんまりけちるところではないかな～と思っていたのでいいかなと… （結構タイの道路はがたがたしていて移動がつらかったです） 全体的に私がいままで泊まったホテルの中でも◎のところでした！ 特にカップルにおすすめかな？お高いホテルなのでそんなに何回もいけないですが、またぜひ泊まりたいです！ Skaityti daugiau

Top hotel! Brilliant service and guest care. However it seems that by booking through hotels.com you automatically get the rooms with no ocean view. Even though the hotel was not fully booked, we still got the back villa.
