Alpine Lodge Guest House - Buxton

Jean made us feel very welcome. Central location, comfortable room, bags of hot water, good service, excellent cooked breakfast. Shall definitely stay here again.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the lovely, quiet of this B&B and its elegant furnishings. I was especially gratified at how Jean looked after my food allergies. Couldn't be a nicer place.

The Alpine Lodge guest house was as near perfection in everyway. The owner Jean was friendly helpfull and pleasant to talk to. The guest house was midway between the higher and lower town of Buxton. I highly recommend this hotel. It was as good as all other reviewers had stated and my room was spotlessly clean and finished to a high standard; as was the bathroom. There were also some nice finishing touches to the service, such as: a chocolate bar and a bottle of water (Buxton of course!). Enjoyed our stay and could not fault cleanliness and decor. Breakfast very good with locally sourced ingredients. Large bathroom with bath and double size shower. Awkwardly shaped bedroom meant bed was under a high window offering no views and a chill from the window (the weather was very cold). Not always easy to park near house. The welcome from the owner Jean was lovely..All aspects of my stay were very good, and the room was excellent and very comfortable.Every detail was first class, and I would recommend the Alpine Lodge for all travellers requiring a quiet relaxing stay with the convienience of town a stones throw away.

There was only one negative during our stay which was the bed being very hard, so didn't have the best nights sleep. Apart from that everything else was great.

This is a nicely decorated, comfortable and conveniently situated b & b. It is spotlessly clean and efficiently run. Great breakfast with quality ingredients. Our room had a 6 ft bed and large bathroom with double shower and generous bath. Recommended.

Superb guesthouse on a steep hill,very friendly and helpful owner cooked us an excellent breakfast in her spotless and beautifully maintained home.An excellent location for exploring the high Peak District.

The right balance between homeliness and independence, we had always previously used hotels but our experience in Buxton was all pleasurable so we now believe that when a guest house gets it right that it is a viable option. Thanks

A very welcoming and comfortable stay. I have stayed in boutique hotels around the world which cannot equal the Alpine Lodge. The rooms are very tasteful and thoughtfully presented and the atmosphere is both friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

A lovely guest house! The room was immaculate, comfortable and well-equipped, the breakfasts excellent and Jean, the hostess, friendly and informative without being intrusive. Those less mobile should note the house is up a hill but apart from that it's excellently sited with the town centre, Opera House and Gardens only a short walk away. Definetely one of the cleanest places we have stayed in. It was wet when we were there which was a little disappointing so hope to go back when we can enjoy the area more.

Friendly service. Located close to town centre. Comfortable and clean bedroom and bathroom. Only able to stay one night, but would recommend this hotel.

Only fault was although there was a hair dryer there was no electric socket near the mirror to see what you were doing.

Although we only stayed in the Alpine Lodge for one night I would not hesitate to visit again. The room was immaculate and beautifully decorated and the hostess was welcoming and accommodating to our needs. I would highly recommend Alpine Lodge to anyone looking for good value excellent quality accommodation in the Buxton area.

This was our second stay at Alpine Lodge and we were not disappointed this time either. This is a very good B&B with a lovely room and very nice breakfast. The owner is friendly and helpful and is looking after her guests in a welcoming way. Absolutely a place that I would recommend to friends.

This hotel is a small diamont. The service is in top and very friendly. You can feel the atmosphere. It is located in 5 min walk distance from Opera, Spa and gardens. We will certaintly come back
