Rideau Heights Inn - Otava

I was pleasantly surprised that a motel would be such a pleasant stay. The room was very large with a King Size Bed and a pull out sofa. Everything was very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others!

location was convenient to Carleton University; room was clean and well maintained; a bit disappointed with the continental breakfast as there was only tea or coffee but no juice

We enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable in our room, This was the most comfortable bed I have ever had away from home.

Great location to access the airport, nice staff, clean room. Nothing fancy, but recently renovated bathroom was nice and bed was comfortable.

We drove to Ottawa for the last weekend of the Winterlude and the Rideau Heights is priced well for its location and what it offers. It is a 'bare-bones' type of accommodation but the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly and courteous. The complimentary breakfast was good with the usual muffins, cereal coffee, pastries, […] etc. and the WiFi worked flawlessly and was included in the price. We were located right next to the office so I cannot comment on its range.I would recommend it as it is a 5 minute drive to Ottawa itself and is close to the bay at the end of the Rideau Canal if you want to skate into town. We were in need of a warm safe place to weather the wind and snow, and your place was perfect. The room was very clean, the full kitchen was a wonderful surprise complete with table and chairs! Also the large two sink bathroom was very nice.

Hotel was very close to business meeting but lacked amenities nearby (i.e. walking distance). Hotel is located in a quiet residential area. Staff very friendly and helpful although wireless internet signal was weak at times. For the price it was great value.

Wall mounted soap dispensers at sink and in shower. Toilet and shower are separate from the sink which allows 2 people to get ready in the morning. Good room at fair price. Set back from street so no traffic noise.

Booked room as it was close to company Christmas party location. This room was billed as a King Suite. In reality it is simply a drive-inn motel with a king-sized bed and a pull-out couch. On the plus side, the room appeared to have recently been renovated, at least the bathroom area, on the negative side this is simply the wall at the far end of the […] room. When we checked in the heat was blasting so we had to turn on the AC & open the door to cool the room down-in December. The pull-out couch was pulled-out, as though someone had been using the room. The fridge was not plugged-in and when we opened it were greeted by a powerful stench that made us assume that it had been that way for several months. Continental breakfast was a joke, 'nuff said.
