San Diego Downtown Lodge

Not good for family ,around there can’t feel safe Inside smells , dirty and the bedding I just don’t know I will not recommend this place Stay there for 1 hr just left to find other hotel Hope I get my refund if not My family is more valuable

This hotel has a great location in downtown San Diego and the staff members are friendly and professional but its packed with homeless people smoking in nonsmoking areas, people from room 212 spend the whole night arguing and playing loudly music while I was staying there, a guy from room 210 tried to get into my room and had to be taken out by the police and even though one of the staff members promptly call me and explain me what was going on which I really appreciated, I recommend the administration to be more careful with the people they accept to stay there

Pictures much better than reality. Upon arrival, I was afraid to get out of my car (homeless people around and other shady characters smoking in the parking lot). Nobody at the "front desk" window for in the middle of the day didn't help. Decided to book a safer place for a little bit more and minutes away. Avoid or you will be disappointed.

When we got there the staff wasn't even there to check us in around 4PM. The parking was awful and there was plenty of homeless people/drug addicts just hanging out there. Avoid this hotel at all costs. After waiting for to check-in for 20 minutes we just decided to leave and check in somewhere closer to downtown.

The room was really dirty, there was one towel roughly half the size of a normal towel there and it was super scratchy to touch. It looked like there were people living in the hotel and there were a bunch of people hanging around in the parking lot. There were stains on the bed linens and the bed itself was uncomfortable to even sit on. We spent 30 minutes total in the room, and most of that time was spent looking for another hotel. The lady at the front desk was friendly and there was no issue with check in. But I was pretty terrified to stay in there or sleep in that bed so we left.

I was disappointed with my stay, I seriously expected a great cleaning crew, specially with COVID. The bed blanket had holes. The shower walls had mole and the shower head had no pressure at all. Double Parking is the worst! It sucks to annoy your Neighbors to move there car. Backing out of the hotel makes it hard because the incoming cars exiting the freeway that I even witness an accident. parking is LIMITED! Yes it was included in our stay but for comparing prices with other hotels, my next trip to SD I will pay $20 for guaranteed parking and pay a few bucks difference for a better stay. The lobby staff said “ if you see or hear anything out of the ordinary please call us”. That made me feel unsafe and made me regret making reservations there.

First, parking was TERRIBLE. Couldn't get out of car without strategy. They spaces are so close. A homeless guy kept walking around the very small spaces as we worked to park. Room was clean but didn't stay. Cancelled a non refundable 2 night stay. Don't stay here with small children or by yourself. As we stood in from of the office window, it appeared that a drug deal was going done behind us. Had to go stay at another hotel. It was not at all a good start to a short much needed vacation.

Smelled like weed and smoke. Noise coming from outside the room and ceiling and curtain stained with blood.

There was no parking, the room wasn't cleaned very well and many item's were broken like the desk and things that didn't cost alot to replace like the toilet paper dispenser plastic ring were missing.

The place does not have enough parking place it is first come first serve for limited (maybe 7 or 8)spaces. The cleanliness around the area is not so good. My stay was terrible, there was loud music playing around the entire night.
