Edgar Hotel Martha's Vineyard, Ascend Hotel Collection

Great location, close to center of town, right next door to stop &Shop. The hotel room was very clean, spacious and nice decor.Individual coffee maker in the room. Friendly staff, great hot water pressure.

Actually, we thought this room was in prime location; Stop & Shop was within feet from Hotel; La Cantina was across the street; Wines were across the street; breakfast was across the street; these were not extremely top of the line places but functional.

Rooms are clean and nice, nothing too out of this world but the location is perfect. Other than that, the hotel needs major revamping. Lobby is tiny and old, coffee only in room, powder creamer style. My room key stopped working mid stay, I also saw someone in the hallway with the same problem (seemed to be the entire floor). The front desk agent re-activated our key, and it still didn’t work. When I came back she told me to find and ask a housekeeping employee to open my room door. I also got locked out of the main door, and when I told her my key still didn’t work she was completely uninterested, and told me she did not know how to help me. At this point I was about to check out so I propped the door open whenever I left the room. The hotel is convenient if you just need a place to sleep, other than that I wouldn’t go back

The staff was helpful & friendly. The room was clean and beds are very comfortable. Very conveniently located. We would stay here again.

Great place! The staff were very nice and upgraded me to a King Size bed room. Rooms very very nice and they gave me shavers and shaving cream because I forgot mine at home.

First time and last time staying at this property. The hotel.com rate was $394.00/night. Ridiculous!! This is at best a 2-star hotel at a 5-star rate!! I have stayed hundreds of nights all over the world And laid far more for accommodations but have never been more disappointed in the value for the fee. Yes, it’s Martha’s Vineyard but no it’s not worth returning to this property.

Walking distance from downtown! Spacious rooms with a beach touch.

The room was very clean. But bit chilly at first, but heating it up worked fine. Was able to walk to eateries and downtown. Also had their own bar and eatery in the evening. Short drive to the beach.

Hotel facilities were good and newer /clean. But aside from an attached tavern, there's not much to do at this hotel. It's Martha's Vineyard, so you're going to find rifa to do. But they should tell you how to get to Downtown Edgartown and Tina to do and see if they have nothing on property. Just saying.
