Americas Best Value Inn Needles

This place is absolutely by far the worst place I have ever stayed in. It was a nightmare!! It started with check in. The front desk guy had no mask, there was no protective gear between us. He was absolutely rude. When arriving to our room there was a lady who looked like she was completely on drugs & homeless in our room(with no mask on). When I approached the front desk & told him someone was in our room at 7pm. He stated that was the cleaning lady to wait 10 mins!!! Waited 30 mins as we watched her “clean” the room. Which she only just did the bed(didn’t change the sheets). Went back to front desk & explained this is unprofessional, we drove 5 hrs, & all we want to do is sleep at this point. He gave us another room. Pillow cases were dirty, sheets had stains, and the bathroom door didn’t close at all. The smoke alarm was hanging by the wires. The heating/cooling system looked like it was bought at Home Depot. They cut a hole into and just installed it. Covered it with foam & called it a day. I tried backing out of this stay and tried getting a refund. This place is unsafe, inhabitable, and unsanitary!!

Our room was dirty. The floor was gross. There wasn't any hot water for the shower. The location was less than desirable, a lot of transient, homeless, and probably what appeared to be addicts hanging around the area. Our stay was for 3 nights. We stayed one night and found another hotel. I do not recommend this location. We came back to check out after we had an early morning event, to find that the "manager" of the hotel didn't even have our room reserved for that second night even though it was discussed with the same manager the night before and it was reserved on Hotels.com. In addition one of the fire alarms was going off in the night in another room.

Arrived late Thursday evening, parking lot was empty. Walked into the "office" and had to wait a few minutes till someone noticed I was there. While dealing with check-in, wife and kids were waiting in the car as sketchy people walked by. Once we received our room key we noticed we were being placed right next to a room that had a busted in door, that was only being help closed by a chain. Walked into our unit and instantly noticed the floor had debris all over it (hardwood/vinyl floor) which made us not want to put our LO down. The bathroom had chips all over the bathtub and our air conditioning unit had no cover on it, we were told it worked but we were not about to run it with little kids running around. The innards of the unit were exposed, not entirely sure how safe that could be. After about an hour we decided we would not stay there. We did not feel safe. We told the front desk and unfortunately were unable to get a refund.

Best part is a location away from train noise. Motel is pretty basic, but does have a good TV connection, microwave and refer. Only one chair. However ice machine was not working and there was no hot water in the shower. Reception desk was unmanned upon arrival. Had to wait until someone saw the car.

Knew I wasn't staying at anything fancy but expect a clean room and having a lamp next to the bed seems like a reasonable expectation. Neither.

Reservations canceled due to sewage issue

This was the worst experience I have ever had. We wound up not staying. The room was not clean there was mud on the floor and pee stains and hair on the sheets. I was disgusted and when I brought this up to the front desk person he got mad at me that I would question the cleanliness. We actually tried two different rooms and both were so gross. We wound ip leaving and going to the best western. My advice dont try to save a little money here just pay a little more and go down the atreet to the Best Western!!

Booked a 2 bed room. Sleepers on bed away from AC were not able to sleep due to heat.

Last place we wanted to stay was in Needles in August in a heat wave. 113 degrees when we arrived. Asked to be put in the coldest room and the check in guy accommodated us.We were worried about Covid-19, so we cleaned the room which wasn't dirty, we just wiped down handles, remote control light switches, etc. and were able to sleep comfortably. We had just come into CA from Arizona and were headed to the Bay Area. Told my husband to buy gas before we hit Cali and he didn't. Had to pay $4.99 a gallon at the next gas station and of course their sign said last chance to get gas for another hundred miles or so.
