JonkeRED Heritage Hotel

This is a great little hotel, that is extremely close to all the action of Jonker St. area, but far enough to be nice and quiet. It is super clean and comfortable, with excellent staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Located just around the corner from the iconic Christ Church and Stadthuys, this hotel is well positioned in the heart of historic Malacca! As terrific as its position is the well-maintained room with all modern comforts like AC while maintaining its heritage theme in its decors. You will definitely find this hotel an excellence base to explore the historic city of Malacca!

Decent room and cleanliness. Though occasional ant or mosquito. Room was practically windowless - or well, window with a view of a wall with plants. But did not bother me, wasn't here expecting a view. Cash deposit of 100RM required during stay. A little unexpected resulting in less cash in hand during the trip but fortunately turned out to be inconsequential. Service from staff was generally ok and friendly. Though did encounter some behaviour which I could describe as a paranoid... Biggest con : it's year 2020 but WiFi internet connection worse than that in 1999....

Very relaxed atmosphere, staff very polite and accommodating. Rooms are cleaned daily as per your request . Rooms were neat and tidy. Security was good. A quiet place for total privacy for family or couples. Wifi was excellent except when fully loaded with over traffic at times. Good location to get around Malacca with ease. It would be perfect to include breakfast for convenience, but it’s not a requirement as most hotels or food outlets are nearby to go have your meals and are affordable too.

Absolute gem this hotel, and the staff are just A1. The rooms are great, the one negative comment we would have is that the mattress was a bit hard, but then again we are old. Clean, bright, well maintained and in a perfect spot. Step out the door and it's only a few minutes to all the 'old town' attractions. If you arrive by bus, lots of them stop only a 100mts or so away; by car there is on street parking at the rear of the hotel. (Note, there are silly little parking coupons you need to buy at a shop, the hotel may have some. Parking is 60sen per hour, 8-5. Cannot stop a car in front of the hotel!). No breakfast, but lots of choices within a 10 min walk. Well worth staying here.

Very impressive service, great location accessible to tourist site, food and shopping. Spacious for a 25 room hotel with free hot drinks. Highly recommended and you won’t be disappointed.

Like the room design and location nice, friendly worker. Will go again for next trip
