Doxie Hotel

The price for a hotel room in NY is just crazy. This is a 1-2 star hotel at best, and…
woken up at 3am by someone banging on the door demanding money.....

Photos are misleading. The hotel is pretty sorry and disgusting. What's even more disgusting is the fact that it asks for almost $300 a night. This place is more like a youth hostel than a bona fide hotel.
Great hotel. Will definitely stay there again. The room was very rad. Very nice mural on the wall
The only good thing to say about the Doxie is the staff provides great customer service. The hotel walls are paper thin and you can hear everyone snoring at night, you can hear the people walking and talking thru the hallways and going up and down the stairs. They are doing construction and you can clearly hear them banking since the walls shake so hard that the telephone falls off the walls and the lights begin to flicker. Warning: not all rooms have ac so it gets muggy and stuffy. Don’t take the risk of taking the elevator it’s too small and incase you get stuck. Please take the stairs!
Clean and great location. This is definitely a bare essentials kind of hotel. Easy check-in, friendly staff, and reasonable incidental deposit of $100. I already got it back on my debit card and I checked out 5 nights ago. No complaints. One a few blocks from NY Penn Station.
Overall ok place of you're just looking for a cheap place.. The bed was awful..AWFUL. I don't think it was a mattress I think it was a box spring with sheet on it. I've never been so uncomfortable. The bed was hard as a rock. Room 202.
