Drury Inn & Suites Evansville East

My best friend and I rented a hotel room with our kids for a night away over spring break. I understand and appreciate the precautions the hotel is taking for COVID. However, they need to make adjustments to their policies. Only allowing 45 minute time slots to swim with small children is not near long enough - especially when you’re waiting way too long for the hotel staff to meet you and open the door. We were never let into the pool on time which only allowed about 30 minutes of swimming. You know how disappointing that is for small kids when the most exciting thing to them about staying in a hotel is the pool? Not to mention how exhausting it is for parents to get their kids ready for the pool only for a short time. We even asked if we could do back-to-back sessions but that wasn’t allowed. It’s too much to get in and out with toddlers and kindergartners. We were constantly having to wait at the front desk for anyone to wait on us because they they were “tracking down a housekeeper” or “assisting guests at the pool.” I felt like the majority of our time at the hotel was spent waiting on staff. The hotel made our stay in Evansville so disappointing.

We stayed for three nights for a wedding, which also coincided with Spring Break and college sports travel. The first room we got had a cleanliness issue which was immediately resolved with a new room and a free night's stay. Canyon had great customer service and was quick thinking. John, the GM, was on site most of our stay and helped with serving breakfast and dinner during what was a busier than normal time. They sanitized the pool area once an hour, and kept to a good schedule there too. All in all, it was a good stay.

The staff was great! The staff working in the food/bar area were very busy with the influx of Spring Breakers but they did a great job! All very nice. The GM is a very nice man & very accommodating. We will be back!

Didn’t arrive until about 9 to check in. No luggage carts or parking available. Finally took someone’s space that I followed that was leaving, but my daughter and I had to carry our stuff up. I was not made aware of COVID pool procedure prior to arrival. Not able to schedule a slot to swim until checkout time, basically leaving 15 minutes to shower and check out. The one thing I really was looking forward to was relaxing in hot tub on my one night away for spring break. Hot tub was posted with an unexpected maintenance sign and caution tape. This was a major disappointment. Overall our stay was good. Pillows are too firm and of large size. Using just one made my neck hurt. Need larger trash cans with liners in the rooms.

Everything was good, this is my go-to hotel when we visit Evansville and that will not change. We did run out of toilet paper in our room at 3:30 a.m. so that wasn't fun. The hot tub was broken down during this trip so that wasn't fun and the refrigerator in our room didn't work so that wasn't fun either. None of these things would keep me from staying again, coincidence they all happened same trip but still inconvenient no matter how you look at it.

When visiting family in Evansville, we like to stay at the Drury Inn. During Covid, they still provide a hot breakfast (not so bad- same things available every morning) and of course the happy hour with food. The evening food is not that great, but it's better than not having anything. The three free drinks per adult is a nice too. Hot tub was closed during our visit, but the website said that the hot tub was being refurbished so this was not a surprise. The pool and gym were open, but you did have to make reservations for the pool. Since our stay was Monday through Thursday, using the pool was easy- no waiting just checking in at the front desk. We had two rooms- a king suite and a two queen bed regular room. Both were very nice. We will be back.

Room was much smaller than what i had expected, water stains were on the mirror and my daughter found a budlight cap in the corner between the nightstand and the wall. I also didnt like how i couldnt schedule the pool at night until the time of us getting in the pool because "it was a weekend". Ive never left a complaint before, but ive also never had such a mediocre experience from a highly-rated hotel. My fiance would not let me complain to the front desk, so here i am. I stay in Evansville very often and would have loved to be a repeat stayer with my family, but i just had to many complaints. Also the hot tub was closed suddenly the night before we stayed, and it was a large reason we picked this hotel. Very disappointed with my stay.

The service here was excellent, the room was immaculate, and the bed... I didn’t want to leave lol. Probably on of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time. Definitely recommend. Will stay again when in the area!

We were here for NCLEX testing. Such a wonderful pleasant experience.
