Cute place out in the desert. Clean and good to go!

I was passing through Needles on a road trip and needed somewhere to stay the night. The choices are few in this small Route 66 town and for me it came down to Rio del Sol or the BW up the street. I was so happy we stayed here. Kaleb checked me in. He was terrific. The room looked like it was recently updated. The bed was comfortable and most importantly the room was exceptionally clean. Cleanliness is important to me and I was very impressed. The room was a nice size too. I think if you are traveling through Needles this is the place to stay.

Keep in mind you are in Needles. Not a very big city with a lot of plush accommodations. Don’t expect 5 star amenities. Great for what you pay for. Would stay here if ever in town again.

I was on a cross country trip with two pets. Pet friendly room was on the second floor, so I had to carry my luggage up the stairs. I took three trips for me to get the overnight essentials into the room with the pets. I really liked the floor in the room, but the pillows were hard.

Needed a room for one night since we were passing through. We were greeted with smiles and friendliness. While the hotel looks dated on the outside, the room had been updated. It was fresh, clean, comfortable beds and great towels. The TV was a little small, but a broad selection of channels. The HVAC system was a bit noisy, but it kept any exterior noise out. I did feel it was a bit pricey, but happy with the room because of the upgrades.

Prepandemic - most expensive I’ve seen here was $99 a night. Post pandemic - on an off peak Friday night, $130 a night for a 2 star motel! What gives? Choices are few. This place is decent and it beats the other trash in town (other than the $150 a night Best Western) RDS is OK at best but at $130 a night, come on. We’re kind of forced to stay here do to limited selection but if/when other competition comes in town, we’ll remember this.

No one was wearing a mask! When we checked in their was a big sign proclaiming “the Governor of Arizona requires you wear a mask.” But the person at the check in desk was not wearing a mask. I asked him to put on a mask and he told me he did not have one. When I checked out the woman at the desk was not wearing a mask. I saw three maids-none wearing a mask.

Room clean for area but pool wasnt working like stated and our door wouldnt lock. Was told we would be getting a refund and they would not approve it. Will not stay there again. Very unsafe to not even be able to lock your door anyone could walk in at any time.

Work crews took harbor there so it was challenging to rest as they woke and fired up trucks around 4am. Not the hotels fault, but just word to the wise.
