Hotel Martelli

Very well located. Friendly staff. Clean. Comfortable. We stayed only one day It was very easy to get in and out of Florence from hotel Easy access to the airport and or the railroad station

The location is great, less than a 10 min walk to the train station and a 5 min walk to the Duomo and the historic center. Plenty of restaurants and museums within easy reach, no need for a car. The hotel is clean, the rooms are decent size, although not as nice as the pictures available online. Not the most comfortable beds. Breakfast was included and the lady in charge of setting it up was really friendly and pleasant host.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel, great staff, nice breakfast, close to everything.

Will not return. There are hotels in Florence who would have appreciated my business.

We had a very difficult time finding our rooms. We had to go up one elevator, walk through a room and them go up another elevator. Rooms 58 and 60. It felt like a fire-trap. We only stayed one night. When we opened the bathroom door it was couldn't open fully since it hit the bed.

This property was very central to Florence city centre, hotel was very Italy look and nice and clean But negative points where room air conditioning was very poor, room faced onto road works from 06.00. Asked to be moved to a back room next night, which receptionist did arrange only to be put in room 2 doors along from my original room facing onto main road, both mornings was a disgrace. Breakfast was very basic not any hot food available, and only a small choice.

The picture is not the same as the room. The room was old but very old and dirty. They lies they don’t put the real picture on Espidia.

First impression was not that good but have to say that it was excellent value for money
