Very disappointing. Dirty and worn. Never again.

Overall we were disappointed and will not stay here again. Positives: 1. Service Negatives: 1. This hotel is old and worn down. There can be discrepancies between the photos on hotels.com / the hotel’s homepage but be wary that for this property the discrepancy is extreme. The photos do not reflect the worn down state of the hotel and room. 2. The room was not clean. We chose one of the rooms with a view over the lake but the balcony was so dirty that we couldn’t use it. Overall there’s a lot of work to do on cleanliness. For example, the cutlery and plates had someone else’s food still stuck on it. Always unpleasant but especially right now I’d say that’s far from being COVID safe. 3. This is stated in the description but please note this is not a hotel but a self contained apartment. Having stayed at other Rydges properties, this is not up to the standard of a Rydges property and the only part that is Rydges is the name. So to sum up, I would highly recommend exploring other options. Don’t get fooled by the photos...

Kellys travels

Opened the door expecting better. It was very dark all furniture dark and lighting poor. No ventilation so put air conditioner on and was noisy. Everything was dated. Breakfast was ok considering COVID but had to pay for coffee , could have had some yogurt to go with the dry muesli. Position was good being on the lake and the shopping centre for groceries and dining a five minute walk. Not the usual Rydges standard.

Very well appointed room, including lounge area, kitchen and bathroom. Bathroom included washing machine and dryer. Excellent view over the lake.

No noises control. Next door occupants were very loud into the night. Therefore disturbed good night sleep.

Better noise insulation would be good.

Considering everything, it was a good stay. The apartment was spacious but aging a bit. Noise was an issue in the bedrooms as sparrows woke me at sunrise. Breakfast was ok considering the Covid changes. I did miss some fruit salad.

Lakeside with balcony made this small studio apartment a very pleasant place to stay. Adjacent to walking/cycling path and close to main shopping precinct also a bonus. Inclusion of cooked breakfast in tariff was a further bonus.

The location was great and the rooms very clean. The bed was very comfortable but the bathroom and kitchens are showing their age.
