My reservation was for Howard Johnson by Wyndham, the airport kyosk to call for pickup states Howard Johnson, yet when I called for pickup I was told to look for a white van, NO MENTION OF OYO. We waited 1 1/2 hours to be picked up in freezing weather, and the four times I called to ask where the vehicle was, I was argued by the lady at the front desk saying it had been there,never mentioning to look for OYO. This definitely soured our stay there. Furthermore, the breakfast was lousy,the room did not even have a towel rack to hang towels, the heater was very noisy, and there was a damp smell in the room. I could only say the stay there was terrible and I will never stay there again!.

This place is about as middle of the road as it gets. The shuttle pickup from the airport is + The cashiers/clerks behind a glass pane is - Check in is lengthy - The damage deposit is ridiculous, and they do not issue a receipt, just verbally reassure you that your $200 has been refunded - - The room is clean + Pillows and blankets are excellent ++ Bathroom is fine/clean + Doors/walls are very thin, and you can hear most things happening in other rooms - Vending machine does not work - It’s probably the cheapest hotel you can get so close to JFK airport + Overall, would stay again. It’s definitely the quintessential “no frills” hotel.
Just one night, got the job done. Went get dinner to the nearby Burger King, confortable bed, gets the job done after a 12 hour flight.
My stay was ok for the most part the bed skirts were filthy on both beds and the floor was not clean, the guy at the front desk for check in wasn't very pleasant or helpful and i was unaware that i had a 200$ deposit or i couldn't check in that should be made clear before people book i experienced a few guest checkin in having the same issue, the gentleman that helped me with my bags by the name on Nas was so helpful and respectful i really appreciated all his hard work he wss awesome
