Room assigned was on fourth floor in building with no lift. Cold water valve broken off. Large window latch broken -- could not close window. Had to ask to be moved to another room. This was done with no dispute.

Good enough for stay short terms. Room cleaned, staffs friendly helpful and service fast. Room have more than we expected in Germany hostels. We happy to stay there.

very loud and hot

The window was facing the main road and had southern aspect.It was extremely noisy and hot overnight. The window could not be closed due to the heat which accumulated during the day. There was loud music and shouts just outside the window throughout the entire night.Never stayed in a louder place.

Fine if you want to be near bars, otherwise avoid

Hostel room itself was clean and fine, although did only have 1 plug which was a bit annoying. The hostel itself was dirty/smelly and the corridors reminded me of a hospital. The hostel is situated in the Reeperbahn area which is great if you’re going on a night out, however not suitable for children as it is in an area filled with sleazy bars and shops and lots of homeless/drunk people around at all times of the day

DO NOT STAY HERE

The hostel is difficult to find and is in a weird area. We stayed here to be close to a concert but next time we will differently stay in a better hostel. Both of our beds were broken and I spent my night trying not to fall off the bed. It was super loud the entire night because drunk people would be screaming in the hallway. No staff was around to tell them to be quiet. It was understaffed as well and they seemed really stressed. The bathroom door did not close and had no lock. One of us had to keep the door closed from the inside as the other used the toilet. Overall do not stay here and this place should either be shut down or extremely renovated

Group of 16 lad

Fantastic for the money that we paid. Group of 16 lads for a birthday. Location is perfect staff was helpful and polite not like 90% of the staff we encountered at other places over the weekend. I would go back here with a group time and time again but not if I went with My Mrs and kids. Massive thumbs up.

Acceptable for a shorter stay, nice staff!

The staff is very nice and accomodating and they speak very good english. The toilets were without soap for two days, our room smelt of mold from being close to the showers and the showers were not in a very good condition. If you are looking for a cheap room in the craziest part of Hamburg, close to clubs, this is absolutely acceptable and I would recommend it. If you want a cozy and fresh room or if you plan a longer stay I would probably not recommend it. You get what you pay for as with everything but for the price I think it was nice!
