Hotel Malcom and Barret

+quite cheap +great reception service(LENKA!!!) -a lot of traffic noise.

It is just out side of the tightness and business of the Center.

The room was overall good, the food was good (not great), the restaurant service was bad. The hotel rate was great and the food prices were good. The front desk service was good. Minor hiccups with the cleaning (we needed clean glassware). The issue with the restaurant service was that we kept being brushed aside for other customers that should have been behind us in line. This happened several times, we thought too often to be a coincidence or a misunderstanding, and one customer receiving the preferential treatment called it out when the waitress attending my mother abandoned her to assist him. Parking was really challenging on the first day, which was a holiday. I found a parking space eventually and went back to the same spot the next day, there were more parking spaces available then. There was an overwhelming scent from cleaning supplies when we arrived but it faded. The elevator was a bit jumpy. The beds were very comfortable and clean. That is always the most important factor for me. The view out the window was not pretty. The decor of the room is really nice. The fridge didn't work, and a nightstand light bulb was flickering but to be fair I just turned off the light and didn't notify the lobby. I can imagine this would be a good hotel for a young family with kids, if you are lucky enough to belong to the group that they will attend to first. If not just use the room and avoid the restaurant.

The hotel is located at 15 minutes walk from the Ciudad de Artes y Ciencias, and at 40 minutes walk from the city center, so it is very convenient. It is a pretty new building so the rooms are ample and very comfortable. Bathroom is big enough and very modern with great shower and water pressure. Our room had a nice closet with safe. No carpet floors, that is a plus. Plenty of buses around to move within the City. The buildings (there are two, the main hotel and other building across the street with the same kind of rooms) have limited garage spaces underground for small cars, or medium size cars if you know what you are doing. Very good and pleasant stay.

It has been a very neat and cosy hotel. Good conditioned, clean, and quiet overall. Overall it an excellent boutique hotel with little that can be picked on - it might be slightly far away from the city centre (about 30 min walk). But if location is not the top priority, this hotel should be in the top of the list.

Excellent location for the Valencia marathon and bars and cafes only a short walk to Russafa. Hotel was lovely and clean and Alfonso, Olesia and Maria always made be feel welcome. Can't thank them enough.

Sight seeing trip to Valencia. Hotel about 30 minute walk to old town and about 15 minute walk to Aquarium, art gallery etc in park.

Easy to access. Staff is very helpful and provided tips regarding main attractions

I like the location of the hotel. Dislike the parking spots
