The Dragon Hotel

The room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. Unfortunately due to Covid regulations everything had to shut down at 18.00 and be take away only, so couldn't sample the proper fare on offer. As for the standard suite we had it was very roomy, the bed was especially comfortable. The hotel is in an excellent location, will be retuning when all this pandemic is over and to this hotel.

On a positive- nice towels and plenty of hot water. Unfortunately the carpet throughout was a trip hazard and filthy dirty with mould around the bathroom door due to water damage from the shower. The shower room electric heater desperately needs replacing along with the shower fittings which were again filthy dirty and due to long term damage more water escaped from the chrome fittings rather than the dirty shower rose. Also due to poor ventilation in the bathroom mould was present in all corners of the ceiling. The main room centre light was also damaged and bare wires could be seen. Overall the paint work was badly scuffed and all rooms require a good clean. I’m sure the Dragon has received previous negative feedback but it’s obvious it has been ignored. You can’t live on your previous glory !!

Nice hotel, not worth the price . Expensive and have to pay for parking.

Arrived 45 minutes after check in and room wasn’t ready so had to wait another 30 minutes. Hotel in need of refurbishment. Rooms are tired. Location is excellent and a short walk to the shops/bars and restaurants.

The staff were polite and very helpful, however the actual Site does not live up to the pictures presented, claims of enhanced cleaning for Covid and the rating of being a 4 Star Site. The room was small, very very dusty and dirty with a blocked sink (very slow to drain). It felt this room had not been used or cleaned in some time with also empty used toiletries (empty hotel shower gel container) still around the bath.

Stayed 1 night for work during lockdown, ended up eating a takeaway kebab in my room as all of the restaurants were closed. This was no issue and of course out of the hotels hands.

There was a druggie in the reception when we arrived, I can understand due to covid things are in short supply but to have NO sprites available was a joke. The room was very cozy and clean just needed some tlc around the chipped paint on the skirting boards and door frames, windows needed a clean and so did the roof of the restaurant below as had a old phone ! Not nice to look at.. definitely not what I would associate with a upmarket hotel. Had a discount rate so was ok. Definitely would have been more upset if I had payed full price .. staff ( the 2 I saw) absolutely amazing customer service

Looks very tired ....room was basic, the net curtains look like they have been the 20 yrs. Great location though.

The staff are wonderful, doing their best in a very difficult situation. The food was over priced, especially for being served in a cardboard box and I was given a glass of red wine in a plastic pint pot, totally unacceptable. Not the fault of the staff who were using the only things available to them. Furniture in the bedroom very dusty, all in all I won't be staying there ever again.

Despite Covid restrictions room and staff were very good.Location was excellent for shops restaurants and beaches.Parking was a bonus.
