Econo Lodge Evansville

When we arrived the front desk (couple) were discussing money and who owed what. They were cursing. They were not professional with their greeting or check in process. The overall condition of the property was dirty and poor. The rooms had stuff on the wall, mirrors were streaky and smudges, wood floors were warped, and the duvet covers had burn marks in them. Thankfully i was only there to sleep because this was the worst place i have stayed in.

The room stink and both faucets ran water all the time

Check in was super super slow. I was told the place was non-smoking only (which I was happy about) but my room smelled like pot and there were burn marks all over the bathroom. Toilet was clogged within an hour. There was hair on the bathroom counter. The white blanket on the bed (underneath the top blanket) was stained with something blue and something red/brown. The outside was kind of run down. I just stopped in for a shower and a couple of hours to rest in the middle of a trip. Got a pretty dirty look for checking out so soon. Also I booked a King bed but all they had was 2 double beds. If I was planning on staying more than a few hours I would have asked for a refund and went somewhere else.

Check in seemed upset we were there. Sorry for giving you money. 50.00 deposit that was not mentioned on the Hotels.com site still has not been returned. This was to deter smoking in rooms, however the room reeked of smoke anyway? Rooms were cleanish. No bed bugs, we checked. Mirrors looked like they were cleaned with dirty rag. It was a quick night all we needed to do was sleep. Check out, the gentleman was far nicer and professional.

I was having to stay another night and so I thought I would save a few dollars and try this motel. Well it is not worth the money that I paid. The room wasn't very nice and could new a lot of cleaning but also had a lot of drywall holes and everything seemed old and dirty. The old good thing was the bed was fairly comfortable. I had other guests making loud noises all night. I suggest you find another place that is worth even just a few dollars more. Do not stay here.

Room was big but did not smell good. Wasn't a cigarette smoke smell but something else that never went away. Mattress was very bad and sunken in the middle. Water stains on the ceiling and moldy caulking all the way around the tub and shower. Shower was very disappointing but that might have just been a bad showerhead.

The staff was very friendly and even gave my granddaughter money for the vending machine.

Bathrooms were never cleaned

While surface clean, there was an odor of mustiness and urine that was strong. The bathroom counter was covered in burn marks, the light/vent in the bathroom was totally broken. The plaster on the ceiling was molding at the edges. And the other “residents” were shouting at guests as they arrived.

Couldn't have a bottom floor room coudnt switch cause they where booked my mom had cast and need first floor that made us upset
