Room was huge! Good basic breakfast, easy parking (costed 17e/night). Town is easy accessible. Only minus was the power outlets nearby beds as there wasn't any. Plus Wi-Fi a bit slow.

Reception was welcoming and efficient and first impressions were good. We had booked a de luxe room which was quiet and looked to the back over roofs of neighbouring buildings. The room was very hot and after repeated attempts to lower the temperature we failed as the thermostat instructions were vague. In fact there was no book of instruction or information about the hotel anywhere to be found. The emergency information was by the door to the room but was almost unreadable because because the light was so poor. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and cushions but we had to sleep with no bedclothes because of the heat. The bathroom was well appointed but at 26 degrees was unhealthily hot. It was impossible not to cause a flood because the shower seal was defective. We reported the heating problem to reception who sent a maintenance man immediately. His only comment was that all the rooms were set at this temperature. We had occasion to need a doctor but again there was no registered doctor so we spent the morning at the local hospital. The breakfast was standard fare but we asked for a soft-boiled egg on our third morning and it never came. All in all this was a disappointing stay and judging by our experience we would not recommend this hotel. We made our feelings felt at reception and did get the car park fee of €36 waived.

This is a very smart, comfortable hotel with very friendly staff, an excellent breakfast, and enormous, very posh bathrooms. The only thing missing were facial tissues normally found in this class of hotel. The train and bus stations are directly opposite the hotel and the town centre starts literally around the corner. The hairdryer, not mentioned in the hotel advertising, is cleverly hidden in a drawer in the bathroom. A bottle of drinking water is provided, renewed when the previous one is empty. We were very impressed with this hotel especially for the price demanded by Expedia.

This Parkhotel was one of the nicest stays we had during our two week trip to Europe. It’s located right across from tons of public transportation options, or you can park your car in the neighboring garage for about €10/ night. Short trip to Bonn or Cologne with a select offerings in Euskirchen as well. The service was EXCEPTIONAL. The front desk staff (one young lady in particular) went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We even had a minor fiasco with our passports and she let us check out at 4PM with no additional charge. The rooms are some of the largest you’ll find in Europe, which is refreshing coming from the luxury of space we have in the USA. The bathrooms have full size tubs and even have American outlets for those of you traveling with limited adapters. The breakfast offering is extensive and offers something for everyone. From smoked trout to cereal to fresh baked bread, you will leave breakfast more than satisfied. Apparently this hotel was recently rated 4 stars (has been 5 Stars pervious years) and is being acquired by a new company - so it will no longer be a park hotel. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.
