Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Port Charlotte

I would just like to say that the front desk clerk during check in was so friendly and helpful. She needs a commendation, she made what seem to be short staffed into a pleasant experience.

I stayed five nights, and my room was never cleaned or the bed made. The only thing that they staff did was to change the towels each night, and on one night, they took the dirty towels but did not leave any clean ones. I went to the front desk and inquired about the level of service that I could expect in light of Covid, and was told that the things that I inquired about were housekeeping issues and she did not know , that those were "housekeeping guidelines", not front desk guidelines so she didn't know. Pitiful, and I generally like Microtel properties.

The bathroom is terribly the shower towels is so nasty not have breakfast

The room smelled like cigarettes even though every room should be smoking free. Also, the sheets and towels had weird brown stains on them.

This place was very clean and the staff were very helpful and professional.

200$ cash deposit required on check in. Elevators not working 1 am arguments in the halls This hotel isn’t worth it. Stay anywhere else.

The parking lot was dark, according to guest services that was because they needed to reset their parking lot lights because they were on a timer. This hotel is expensive for what you get but it is all relative to prices of all hotels and motels in the area, they are all rather high. You might spend a little more and be happier. Spent 2 nights as we had someone in the hospital nearby. Found toe nail clippings on the carpet in our room. The free breakfast consisted of a rice crispy bar, a small orange and a box drink in a brown bag. Coffee in lobby was okay but not great.

Druggies and drunk people all around. One guy even hit on my 11 year old daughter. Rooms smelled like cigarettes even though it is supposed to be a “smoke free” hotel. Not very clean. But the lady working the front desk was nice. Also, the room keys didn’t work, had to get a new pair.

Worst hotel experience... no one wearing a masks... phone in room broke, very loud in rooms around me... dirty ... horrible cigarette smell in hall ways.
