InterContinental Dubai Festival City

It was a good stay. Initially the booking was of deluxe room but when we checked in the size of room was not suitable for we three ( including child). After that we requested for upgrading and found one suite room with reasonable charges. It was very nice and much more spacious.

A really wonderful hotel based at Festival City and only a short distance from the airport. Good location - wonderful restaurants and shops within the immediate vicinity. The hotel is modern, stylish and the service impeccable. Complimentary water and fruit provided and if you book breakfast, they offer a large selection of food. During our 9 day stay we wouldn't get 3 sunbeds round the pool on any day so used the Crowne Plaza pool next door. Not an issue really...…. Only one slight niggle was if you are staying for a longer period of time, the rooms don't offer sufficient storage facilities especially if you have, like us, a suitcase each. Other than that, a lovely hotel and we would stay again.

I didn’t expect intercontinental hotel to be in this condition it wasn’t look like a five star hotel so old furniture and wasn’t clean the service was bad imagine that I ordered a packet of ice at 12 am and they never delivered it and I have a gold member at IHG They don’t have a special treat this hotel should be at maximum 4 star

Please add shataf to the bathroom.

Requested non smoking room. My room was not quite ready upon check-in even though check in is after 3pm and I got there at 315pm, so I was offered an upgrade but on a smoking floor. If not, I could wait in the lobby until my room was ready. I did not want to wait so I took the upgrade. I was promised I could change rooms if the smells were too strong. As soon as I got off the elevator, I almost didn't even want to smell my room but continued anyway. It only took me only 10 mins to request that switch. I called downstairs and was transferred to reception and asked to wait about 15 more mins so they could find me a room. Turns out, I had to wait two hours. It wasn't until I called reception after that two hours for someone to remember I called earlier. The two hours we're not that bad as I did have a TV in the room. Or not....Some cables were loose or (insert excuse here) but the TV did not actually work. So I sat in my room listening to music for two hours to be moved. As a gesture, I was offered a fruit plate for my time. Will not stay at this property again.
