Axel Hotel Berlin - Adults Only

Good for the solo or coupled traveler. Close to the nighlife/scene district around Wittenbergplatz. Comfortable, quiet rooms with the essentials. Room cleaning could be more efficient. Twice I didn't get new towels and bath mat and I got personal cleaning supplies, like shampoo and lotion, only once. Breakfasts are Euro 9.80, good but pretty basic. Receptionists are very friendly and accomodating.

The staff was great. We were welcomed to the hotel and had all of the details of the property explained immediately. The location is perfect for staying in the Schöneberg area. The room clean and offered plenty of space. We will be staying here every time we visit Berlin in the future.

Amazing although Covid tried to stop the party this hotel allowed people to party safely the roof top terrace is a gem

I’ve stayed at the hotel previously on more than one occasion. Once again it proofed as a good reliable stay with a great central location very close to the city’s transport links.

I thought the room was supposed to have a mini bar which it did not. The reception staff were okay but seem to spend an excessive length of time outside smoking leaving reception unattended. This does not set a professional standard. I would stay here again as it's a great place for single gay males to meet others. Lovely little spa and the gym is decent but needs a bit more basic equipment such as exercise mats.

I spent two days in the room with a friend. This 1 day stay was my 3rd after my friend left. I hung the clean tag in the AM and went for breakfast. Checking back frequently as I wanted to nap in the afternoon. The housekeepers cleaned all of the rooms around mine but by 4:30 hadn’t cleaned the room. I asked at the front desk, they said I hadn’t hung the clean tag. I know I did. It was there every time I checked back at my room. They sent housekeeping at 5pm. The be was made and towels changed, but used wine glasses were left. Counters not wiped, Still good bars of soap were taken with none given to replace them. I brought the used wine glasses to the front desk to exchange for clean ones. I was told he had to bring them himself. 30 minutes later he arrived with pint glasses. The attitude fb the front desk felt as tho he was rolling his eyes. The poor attempt at room cleaning showed they didn’t care and rushed through. Frustrating mostly because I wanted to nap in the afternoon but couldn’t as I was trying to make space for the housekeepers to do their jobs. They were great the previous days. The two previous days with my friend were great! I really enjoyed the hotel and will both recommend it to friends and will stay again. It’s unfortunate that this one day soured the experience of the weekend.

I just love axel I was introduced to that hotel through a German friend and honestly got me hooked. The staff is super nice and kind. The hotel in a great location, everything is nearby, I feel safe and honestly I feel super welcomed.

Great stay, lovely staff. A place where you don’t feel you are accepted.

The internet is really fast!! Highly recommended for a business trip. The gym could be better equipped.
