Room was very clean and had a small balcony for smoking

I was genuinely really impressed with The Coldiki hotel. I was just looking for somewhere to shower and change and grab a few hours sleep on a flying visit and didn’t expect much for the price. My room was huge and modern, fab decor and little balcony too. Service was faultless. Couldn’t recommend more.

The Hostal Colkida has character, which is to say it’s not like the cookie cutter hotels that are typical of the U.S. The staff was friendly and helpful! The courtyard was great. It was very comfortable to relax there before bed and to sit and eat breakfast foods we’d purchased at a local supermercat. There is a small elevator, which was a great blessing given two heavier pieces of luggage, which we took up one at a time. The one big drawback was the WiFi. They have WiFi, but it was unreliable.

The place is as you would expect for a hostel. Nothing spetacular, but everything is clean and works fine. The best part of this property is the location, which is really close to Casa Battló, Sagrada Familia and other attractions. It is also well connected to the El Prat airport, using the Renfe service R2 Nord.

Not good at all . The beds not comfortable. You can hear everything the water and noises of the next room . Even was surprised that hotels.com charged on us 40 euro and we have already paid all what is due on us so it’s very dangerous to book by credit card .any one can steel us .The man of the reception came and shout on us while checking out was so impolite . Very bad experience

Great location!! Clean and simple room that provided the necessities (in room bathroom!) The only issue was that the a/c unit would make loud noises when on.

Location is fantastic! Close to public transport, and plenty of restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops around. Also, they have a cute little terrace just behind reception where you can relax in the evenings. The service was great, very helpful!

Very well-run hostal in a great location. Our room was one of several (4 or 5?) on the 3rd (to Europeans) floor of an older building. The rooms have been completely renovated, and are clean and comfortable, with a neutral modern IKEA-style decor. There's a common kitchen are for all the rooms on the floor, which is very nice. The hostal staff are helpful, and seem to comprehend many languages. There is a large and beautiful back patio on the entrance (mezzanine) level of the hostal. The location could not be better. Carrer Roger de Luria is in the heart of Eixample, but within a ten minute walk of the Barrio Gotico. There are many very pleasant cafes and restaurants in the neigbourhood, which we found much more comfortable and quiet than the Barrio. And the facades of the buildings in the area are stunning modernista masterpieces. The elevator is quaint (and small), but we found that using the stairs helped (a little) to compensate for all the pastry we were consuming in the neighbourhood bakeries. Given Barcelona accommodation prices, Hostal Colkida is a great choice for people who need cleanliness and comfort, but don't want to pay for a 3-star hotel.

We loved our stay at colkida! It was clean, staff very nice and helpful, speaking good English, location was good and in reach for most of what we wanted to visit. There is also a nice terrace for smokers or to chill. There are a lot of eating places in the neighborhood for all types of budgets, also supermarkets. Plaça catalunya was at 12/15 min away and the aerobus station is there too. The room we had was for 3 persons, we had a window and enough space, small table, not noisy, nice bathroom. I have to say again that the staff was really nice and always and at any hour avalilable to help and in a good mood. There is a small staircase and small elevator but we didn’t have big things to carry so it was good for us. Also at the reception there is a coffee machine where you can buy or make your coffee. Thank you for your hospitality, for sure we will visit you again next time :)
