We loved our time at the White House! This family run hotel made our stay in England memorable. The room was cozy and clean. The location was perfect for us. The English Breakfast hit the spot.

Lovely guest house, fabulous hosts, very accommodating. Room was lovely and cozy, always warm. Fabulous bed and the shower was great, really wakes you up. Only down side to the room was no wifi, signal on EE was very poor (not the guest house fault) but wifi would've been handy. There is wifi in the main hotel rooms but we stayed in the stable block. Breakfast was fabulous, yummy sausages, really set us up for the day. There is everything you could want. We mainly dealt with Kelly who is an absolute sweetheart. Friendly, helpful, approachable exactly what you want from a your guest house landlady. The entrance, lounge and dining room are all very welcoming. The only down side to our stay was that we weren't staying longer! Would definitely stay there again if in the area and would highly recommend to others. Thank you all at The White House guest house! The White House was great. Would definitely go back without a doubt. I booked a family room and actually got a massive double for myself and connecting room with twin beds for the kids. Far more than I expected. Service was great, location was great. Really happy.

Lovely old property and owner very welcoming. Breakfast was tasty using good local produce. Room was a good size and slept well.

Stayed for three nights. Comfortable room, good breakfast, pleasant people. Would stay again.

Nice b&b clean, very pleasant hosts who provide an adequate stay. Only complaint was if you use toilet ,sink or shower the water goes through a saniflow system which is very very noisy. The rooms are not very well soundproofed in courtyard and you hear everything in adjacent rooms. Earplugs recommended

We booked a night with the Hotel taking our beloved placid German shepherd, we had a two hour drive to the hotel looking forward to our stay especially as I work away all week as a long distance driver, before our drive to the hotel, I had a four hour drive before I finished work. On arrival at the hotel, we took our dog out of the car and went to check in, two members of staff came to reception one of whom stank of cigarettes, she had a look of panic on her face and told us that the room we booked was not pet friendly, they then phoned around for another guest house, but that was no use to us without a refund, after waiting an hour for the hotel owner to see us, she told us she couldn’t give us a refund as it was against the policy of Expedia who had already taken the money out of our bank, she said she could not apologise enough but that was no good as our weekend was ruined and we had no option but to drive back home, we arrived back at midnight and felt that the hotel owner couldn’t cere less and should have made an effort to accommodate us, an experience we will not forget
