Gaia Hostel

Wonderful staff. The hostel is small and it's on the 4th floor of an old building but there is an elevator. Despite the fact that it's small we didn't really run into the other guests and never had to wait for showers or toilets which was good. The only thing our double room was small and didn't have air con and it was around 36 degrees when we went so sometimes had trouble sleeping because it was too hot. There was a small fan thing that didn't work so we left the windows open which made it loud and still didn't really help cause no breeze blew in and the bathrooms got really hot. Though it's really close to the metro and to shops and supermarkets. The bus from the airport drops you off just around the corner so it's handy. And they let us check out late which was awesome.

The manager/owner did everything she could to make my stay comfortable and memorable. It is clear that many people return here again and again. Of course, there is no AC, so people using it in summer are taking a chance that it is not too hot. It was fine while I was there, 85 F in the day 65 F at night.

Very good location. Judit was kind and knowledgeable about local things to do in Budapest.

Centrally located. Turn right or left and walk there is a beautiful bridge. Steps away from a supermarket, McDonalds. Location is exceptional!

Amazing stay, great staff. Definitely will be back next time in Budapest.
