EdenStar Saigon Hotel & Spa

Stayed 3 nights. Did not have any VIP perks even though I'm an Expedia VIP and this is supposedly a VIP property. Maintenance of the rooms are terrible. 1st night, no hot water and there were ants everywhere. 2nd night, aircon not working. Had to change room on 2nd night as it was too unbearable. 3rd night (new room), toilet couldn't flush. Very dissatisfied.

Hotel is very well run, staff very polite great little find breakfast good, pool and amenities really fab good happy hour in pool bar quite a large pool for rooftop 15 minutes walk to centre or 2to3 edollars in cab

Staff were helpful and mostly their English was pretty good. Room a bit dated. Very loud techno music kept me awake first night. Food was very average and not cheap at all

Everything are good, including breakfast. There is a room to improve for the gym and spa.

Restaurant staff were excellent and friendly specially Mr Luan Team Leader restaurant. He was very friendly and had a good chat with him. Buffet breakfast is excellent worth booking buffet breakfast. Had all varieties of fruits that we cannot get overseas. Vietnamese iced coffee very tasty. Must try. Overall enjoyed the food and our stay. Friendly staff. No complaints.

Considering the value, I can’t believe how expensive this hotel was especially for Vietnam. I paid in USD and my room was terrible. It spelled like spoiled wet clothes. The room was super noisy. Thank god I only had to stay for one night.

The furniture is a bit old (wooden style), but pretty nice condition, nothing to complain about. Clean and spacious room, jacuzzi in shower room which was a pleasant surprise.

So just be aware. Has bad and good points. Guest only, written in fine print. If this is a business trip or if you have friends in another hotel, they cannot visit you. If they do for any period of time during the day you will be charged an additional 50 dollars. Area is a good one, but price is on the expensive side for what you receive overall. Breakfast is good. Pool is sorta small, but usable. In hotel massage is not so good, go elsewhere. 4 star is only because of the conference room. Comfort of the bed is so so compared to other hotels. Clean but most things in the hotel are well used. Probably time for a renovation if they want to continue at this price point. Stayed at a bunch of other cheaper hotels that were better and newer, but just didn’t have pools. Wouldn’t really recommend unless other hotel in the area are booked up.
