Cityden Residences Jordan 9-Streets

We had the 2 bedroom apartment. Great area with many good restaurants but the apt had steep narrow stairs. Only one tiny toilet on 1st floor & the shower in the 2nd floor where master bedroom was. Kids had to go down two flights of narrow steep stairs in the middle of the night to go to the toilet. No Air Conditioning so we had to open the windows which meant mosquitoes & loud voices from the street kept us from having a good night sleep. A 15 minute walk to Dam Square.

We couldn't have asked for a better place! Right in the heart of Jordaan. You walk out the door to coffee and shops on one of the canals. The apartment was clean and spacious with a modern feel. With large windows opening right out to the hustle and bustle of the street. Always easy to get in touch if needed. One of cityden's finest even went out of his way to print our train tickets out and dropped them off. Thank you again for that! I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone looking!

The apartment is very nice with two bedrooms and 1 and 1/2 bathrooms. The Jordaan area of Amsterdam is a more relaxed area that feels very safe and other than church bells ringing the hour is pretty quiet. It is within pretty easy walking distance to restaurants and shops, including a grocery store which only takes Euros or local bank cards but is very nice. It does have steep somewhat narrow stairs first to the first floor with the kitchen, living room and 1/2 bath. You go up one more narrow flight of stairs to the the 2 bedrooms and bath. It was clean, quiet and well appointed. The wifi and TV worked well. The one hiccup we had was VRBO/Homeaway sent the wrong address so we had to Uber to the new address that we got from the managing company person from CityDen. There is no office so there is no place to leave bags if you are early and they suggest leaving them in lockers at the Centraal Train Station if you arrive before check in. They let us check in at 2 pm because it was empty instead of the 4 pm on the paperwork which was nice. It looks just like the pictures we saw on the website.

The apartment was in a great location. It is close to shops and groceries, good coffee and good food. Mass transit is easily excessible. Typically multi-floor walk-ups have very narrow tight stairs, just be aware.

Aside from some minor TLC that the property requires (ceiling in living room repair needed, stairwell could use painting), this is a perfect dwelling for a week or more stay with friends or family in my favorite neighborhood in Amsterdam.

Great location. Walking distance from all places to visit in Amsterdam. Perfect for a first visit with the whole family.

We stayed at the location on Hazenstraat. The apartment was wonderfully located on a fairly quiet street, but very walkable to all the major locations - 9 Streets (5 minutes), the museums (15 minutes), the central station / Dam area (20 minutes), and very close to the tram line. Less than a block to the nearest canal. Beds were comfortable, the apartment was clean, and it was as advertised on the Cityden website. Check in and check out were smooth, and we had no real issues during our weeklong stay. As with any old building, especially in the Amsterdam style, there are some quirks: very steep narrow stairs, one bathroom with sinks and shower in one of the bedrooms, and another on the main floor with the toilet. There were a few minor issues, like a few lightbulbs that need replacing and a couple pieces of furniture that could use some TLC, but this is par for the course when you have different people staying every week and likely most of them don't alert management to the issues (we did, so I presume they'll be remedied.) All in all, if you're looking for space to spread out (as opposed to a cramped hotel room) in a nice location, in an authentic building, this was a great choice. Note: due to the stairs, this apartment is likely not good for very young children or elderly people who might have trouble climbing up or down.

This property has terribly step access stairs that are not publicised;lounge furniture was grimy and filthy;the loud music from shop below was terrible;TV system was poor;checking welcome guy was good; location very good;no fire escape or smoke detector or extinguisher;no hand towels nor soaps; only two towels for four days!!!;poor lighting;no parking anywhere close by

Great location

We loved the location and apartment. Amazing community, tranquility, easiness of buying food and snacks and centrally located near popular tourist attractions i.e., Anne Franke House. However, a little love and tender should be given specially to the couches in the living room and dining room chairs. The main white/off-white couch had yellow and dark stains including the cushions which looked disgusting. The black couch is made out of a cloth that attracts hair and other material and taking a closer look there were hairs stuck to it. The dining room chairs were wobbly. Otherwise, the rooms were cleaned, beds very comfortable, bathrooms clean and the washing machine a big plus. The place is fantastically located and a lovely place to stay with family. Very safe.
