Los Pilares Hotel

We love the location in one of the "barrios" in the older part of the city. The staff at Los Pilares is a reason in itself to stay there all so cheerfully helpful. Too sad we could not see their faces (always masked) but we could sense they all are beautiful persons. Always attentive to your needs. The food was very good. We loved the rooms, impeccably clean, comfortable beds. I could have used a full size mirror.! The garden on the second floor was beautiful, we enjoyed the jacuzzi although it was hard for an 80 year old to go in and out. A handrail with steps would be helpful. The hotel is a gem and i intend to stay there whenever I visit Oaxaca. It was my 4th time there and not my last, I hope.

Staff were good, flowers and ambiance were great. Location to city is fair, breakfast is fair. Local tour organised from hotel was terrible!

This hotel is charming, peaceful and absolutely beautiful. A quiet, gorgeous location but only blocks from centro. A swimming pool surrounded by lush gardens. A great restaurant, with delicious food. Excellent staff, always friendly and helpful. And fresh flowers and candles everywhere! They even arranged a babysitter to watch our kids so we could have a date for Valentine's day. Will absolutely stay here next time we're in OAX.

I felt I found a delightful gem or waterhole in the midst of a desert. The staff were lovely and friendly, and made sure I was taken care of in a supportive way. My mornings were fabulous because all I had to do was awaken, go to my second floor rooftop restaurant and indulge in delicious French toast or a fritta everyone morning. I was close to nature as the area was filled with plants. Then I relaxed near the dipping pool before I started my day. It was about a 10-15 Minute walk to Santo Domingo Cathedral but the distance kept me feeling removed from all the hustle and bustle of the city, which felt relaxing for me. Yes, after researching and the hotel employees responding to my inquisitive peaty emails, I e we outdoor, without a doubt, return!

Staff was all very helpful and friendly. Pool was smaller than I had expected but very clean.

The hotel is beautifully designed and very comfortable. It's not exactly in the center of Oaxaca, but as two women walking back at night, we always felt comfortable. The staff were extremely responsive and gracious. I would certainly recommend Los Pilares.
