The Sydney Hotel

Good and clean, friendly staff, well positioned, above average

Booked this hotel as a budget option given that we were staying in more luxury accommodation for other parts of our trip. It is fine, but it is just ‘okay’ being a budget option. We were very pleased with their airport pick up service, arriving at Amman Airport at 3.30am in the morning and having our driver take us all the way to our room (reception was closed) was excellent. The bed was comfortable enough and we were able to do laundry using their washer and dryer. The only real problem we had was there was no hot water, which in winter, isn’t ideal. The best thing about this accommodation other than the price is it’s location - only a very short walk down to busy Downtown Amman.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at Sydney hostel, and it’s one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in. I tend to travel over winter and it’s so warm and cosy, impeccably clean and the staff are really welcoming (hello Bassan) As a solo traveller, it’s small enough to meet people. There’s a comfy common area just off reception. Thanks again for a great stay.

The best hotel ever. The stuff is friendly and they always doing their best to makeyou feel comfortable and happy In your stay. Thank you Bassam, Claudia and Mr. Tarek for all your help. Of course my next stay in Amman it will be in Sydney Hotel. All the best for you guys.

Excellent location, helpful staff, wonderful price. WiFi is a little spotty especially outside of the lounge area, and the pillows need to be replaced

Great price and staff with nice inner garden

Really is a Hostel with some private rooms with bath next to the dorms & meeting/breakfast room. The staff is helpfull! At this price we can't expect a new building, but there were large steps to climb at 1st floor (no lift), easy street parking, location 200-400m to busy foody Old City area. Problems regarding the room poor insulated & furnished: NOT the room from PICTURES! no rack & wardrobe! no luggage stand! no chairs! no mirror! extremely hard mattress! no view! We can hear everyone passing on the corridor due of thin wooden door with 1cm bottom space. The window have NO soundproof, we can hear the hostel courtyard, and we can't open the window for fresh air.
