Atherton Hotel

Staff were great, food was excellent rooms a bit average but typical hotel and priced accordingly. Good value for money.

Our room had no windows except for a skylight not realgood

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable and close to shops and attractions. Only downside was leaking cistern pipe and shower screen not closing from inside but only needed small repairs.

Room was comfortable. However on check in we were told buffet breakfast wasn't available and they had run out if breakfast packs. No alternative was offered. We asked what we were supposed to do for breakfast and were then offered one small pack between two of us. After expressing our disappointment we were offered discounted dinner (we had other plans) or a drink at the bar (not a viable alternative to breakfast). We were told the breakfast supplies had been ordered 2 weeks ago and it wasnt their fault they ran out. No apology or understanding if our point of view, just a ckaim that information in the website cant be changed so it still mentions breakfast. About 30 minutes after check in, management bought us 2 individual packs of cereal, juice boxes, a muesli bar and a muffin each to our room for breakfast. She did say sorry then, but reiterated it wasn't their fault because "they gave breakfast to the people who checked in before us".Our receipt was also for a lesser amount paid for by a different credit card. When asked the response was "that's because you paid through Expedia". I have never experienced this when booking online before...receipts have always matched the amount paid.

I stayed here for work purposes, my partner and two kids stayed first night, our room, was fresh smelling and clean, and ready on arrival, the lovely lady who checked us in was so friendly and professional and made check in fast. I had dinner on Saturday night steak and salad, was the best cooked steak I have had in years. Absolutely recommend

A nice welcome and a large room with a balcony. Huge bathroom. A comfortable stay

Great location. Crystal Caves just a few minutes walk across the road. Room was huge. Property was nice and spacious and clean. Onsite parking at the rear of the hotel was a bonus. Will definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed our overnight stay. A few competitively priced drinks in the bar, friendly staff, clean rooms all greatly positioned in Atherton.

On the first floor of the Atherton pub and lots of stairs. A very large room with a very large bathroom with shower and corner spa. All nice and clean. Comfortable bed. Nice view of the mountains. Due to Covid, they said, no toiletries, coathangers, breakfast which was included in the tariff, and no refund for two breakfasts. We did buy dinner in the dining room, which was adequate.

Clean rooms and friendly staff and willing to accomodate change in arrival times. Lack of soap in rooms was a bit of a disappointment.
