The Sydney

Check it n was strange as no one initially available till called on phone. Had daily issue with parking as, even though free parking is mentioned at booking, they expected us to pay 40 dollars a night for the same. As we had not paid this we were moved to different spots as others had paid. Overall it is a 2 star operation charging 5 star prices and being marketed as 3.5 star. Location is great. Our Barbour view room however in reality was street view with harbor well in the corner and distance

Beautiful historic building within walking distance to great restaurant choices on the water and all the shops. Received complementary upgrade to a suite which was very nice. Room was great, very clean and spacious. Staff was great, everyone was very hospitable. I am a light sleeper so only complaint was hearing cars passing by my window during the night and trash trucks picking up at 5:55am.

Very pretty boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Edgartown. Exceptional staff.

Wonderful hotel! Could not ask for more! Many of the hotels are old and not newly renovated. Half of the hotel is newly renovated, the room we had was one of those and I would highly recommend. There was complimentary breakfast delivered to your room and I appreciated the COVID protocols. Would stay again. The location cannot be best.

The staff was friendly and did a great job with the current restrictions. We felt safe and well taken care of.

The staff was especially helpful and nice. The property is very clean and designed very well. I felt very much at home. Be aware that free parking on the property is very limited. Overall my stay at the Sydney was very lovely.

The wonderful Sydney, very centrally located in Edgartown. Parking can be a little bit of a challenge, though we got in both days we tried,but there aren't lots of spaces. The hotel itself is wonderful, our room was beautifully appointed, the bed, comfortable (a little soft for us), but very lovely room and bathroom made the stay a real delight. The staff were all excellent in our interactions, and we were very pleased with our stay. Our only, very minor negative, our Aircon control panel wouldn't self dim, so shined like a beacon until covered with a makeshift diffuser, but that minor niggle, couldn't blemish a great hotel and experience. Thanks All.

The hotel is in a great location in the centre of Edgartown. We stayed in the new building and our room was lovely and extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful; we had a late checkout which meant we could shower and change after the beach. Breakfast is limited (as they say) but there are several great cafes nearby.

The property was lovely. The staff was nice but seemed a little "new". I guess that since we were a little off season they didn't have their more experienced help. Room very comfortable. Breakfast was good but they were not too organized so the breakfast was not all available at the same time. I would recommend it. The location is great and the restaurant,L'Etoile, next to it was excellent.
