HI San Diego Downtown

Great location although noisy. I had wished there was a TV in private rooms with bathrooms.

Overall a nice place that is centrally located. Had a single room with private bathroom. It served it’s purpose and was very affordable. But with that you don’t get things you otherwise normally would at another hotel. The room faced a street with a ton of bars that blasted music until 2am. The room was located on the second floor and you could hear every word of the loud conversations of people walking by.. drunk. Despite this I liked the property but would stress getting a room that was not facing the street in the future.

I stayed on a Friday night, was very loud from outside. Make sure to bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Atmosphere is friendly, although a front desk lady had a bit of attitude, like I’m supposed to know for the first time staying there where to leave the key and what paperwork does she need.

Appreciated the colorful artwork and the breakfast spread as well as the large eating area. Staff were very helpful and let us keep our bags at the hotel the day we checked out as we had a late flight.

The “Hostel” experience reminded me of being in a college dorm. I had my own room but I shared a bathroom with everyone else on the floor. The bathrooms were fine and acceptable for what you find in a communal style bathroom. I lucked out and got on interior room and it was very quiet. Overall great value for the money, however next time in San Diego I’ll stay back at one of the chain hotels per my own preference not because the accommodations were bad.

The property was very close to all the main attractions. Cost was fair... But the amenities could have been better.

Great location. Close to public transit that can take you to other major attractions and sights. Many nearby restaurants, drug store, supermarket to make it easy and convenient.

The hotel is in a great position of San Diego downtown with really cheap price. Meanwhile, what leaves a good impression is that we left a pair of glasses in the room after check-out, the hotel clerk sent us the email to notify us in time, thus we successfully pick it up. Really sweet service!

I loved the location and the staff, they were super cooperative and kind. The only drawback is the noise until morning, but this is because it is located in the middle of the downtown. So overall, very much satisfying stay
