Super 8 by Wyndham New Hampton

Our stay was ok. The hotel requires masks for guests and employees. No one was wearing one. It really disappointing and uncomfortable.

We booked in an emergency (storms in Iowa). Drove 45 miles out of our way at midnight to find that the property didn't have a room for us. This is also the only Super 8 I have encountered that does not accept pets.

Not very impressed at all. 1st disappointment : bathroom tub in our room Was not clean , had soap scrum and previous guests pubic hairs still in it, the other room that I rented for my sister her bathroom tub was not clean either that also had dirty soap scum as well. We then told the front desk and she did not seem like she wanted to clean them, and would rather have us pack everything back up and lug it all to a down stairs room So she wouldn’t have to clean it and on top of this One of our guests that was traveling with us was our 95 yr old grandma and I was not about to have her move again after a long day of traveling. Disappointment #2 absolutely No continental breakfast both there website and the front desk lady said that they had a full runing and operating continental breakfast. We got down there at 8am and there was no Cereal, doughnuts, bengals there was just absolutely nothing like they didn’t even set stuff out or up. Talked to the front desk lady and her answer was “ oh we just haven’t got that far yet “ breakfast was supposed to be ready at 6 am and go to 10 am and it was 8am and nothing was out. Disappointment #3 as we and other guests where Waiting to check out it took 15 mins for the front desk person to come out and check out the guests that was in front of me , we could all here her talking on the phone to someone telling this person who she was talking to about her custody arrangement that she had with her child’s father and how much she hated it.

Front desk attendant had not been trained, knew little about operation of tv, tv did work correctly. If you selected a channel it went to another channel. Lots of construction noise from very early to way pass dark. Breakfast was a bag lunch, this was not expected. This should be listed on web site!

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and A/C was on before our arrival, very nice since it was so hot that day. Overall, we were happy with our stay.

The sunrise breakfast was coffee and juice with muffins there was bananas. one day off Friday

Clean, quiet, as advertised. Great rooms, breakfast and pool area

Staff was not friendly. They seemed annoyed or bothered when we were asking questions, needing another room key, opening door for us when we arrived late from a wedding reception and not aware the doors would be locked! Otherwise the rooms and lobby were very clean and comfortable.

Our adventure began with a sign at the entrance asking for us to remove our work boots prior to coming inside. This was written in English and Spanish for those curious. There was another sign about no pets. We learned later that is was false. The pets had to be registered and then all was good. The room was fantastic! We had a king and a queen bed with a sitting area and small kitchenette. The problem areas were many. The tub didn’t drain so taking a shower was interesting. The tub would fill up like a bath so we had to wait between showers for this to drain before the next person could go. The hot tub in the pool area is cemented in so let that relaxing thought go. The pool area dehumidifiers are not pulled into exhaust pipes so dress appropriately if you go to watch your kids swim. Don’t use the bathroom in the pool. It doesn’t lock or flush so... Breakfast looks like it was good if you were there early for the eggs and fresh food. There is a waffle maker and I fully recommend this as a solid choice. Overall, the room was one of the best that I have been in for the price. Spacious, clean and fairly current decor. The rest of the hotel is average. The bones are there for something that was great once and could be again. The owners just have to invest some coin and actually care a bit more than they do now.

Friendly staff, comfortable room and bed. Staff suggested a great restaurant for brunch. Lobby was perfect for visiting with family.
