Poor . Poor directions for car park , no Wifi. I paid for full breakfast for 2 ... totally awful cold breakfast . No refund . No one cared. Won’t be repeating

Lovely 15th century linear village with lots of old pubs. Lovely hotel with bags of character Friendly staff. Good food. Nice vibe in bar.

No sound proofing between room and hallway. Unfortunately my room was by main door. Was kept awake by guests till 4am, which meant I missed breakfast. And kettle didn't boil properly

Spur of the moment romantic break with my partner. We were allocated room 28 which was a junior suite as booked. The room was huge with an amazing bathroom with rolltop bath and walk in shower big enough for two. However, unfortunately, there was an incredibly strong smell of dog... I raised this with reception who were only too happy to help and went out of their way to offer us a choice of two different rooms, one a junior suite and one the honeymoon suite (for same price). We gratefully chose the honeymoon suite after reception had kindly showed us around both of them. The room was lovely, also huge, with atmospheric beams and a very romantic, instagrammable framed bath tub in an alcove surrounded by beams with a view over the sweet little high street full of independent shops. The bed was a sleigh style bed in dark wood, which was both romantic and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the three seater sofa which is rare even in a hotel suite to chillout and watch some TV on. A particularly enjoyable feature was the two large screen TV's which we could operate with one remote on hinges so you could get a view from either the sofa or the bed. Only feedback going forward was that the tea and coffee tray lacked any milk and the water pressure in the shower was non existent in the rainfall head and very weak at best in the detachable one. Dinner was beautifully cooked. 3 course for £24.95 excellent value for quality. Brekkie was not bad and was free. Will gladly return!
