Villager Motel

It was quiet despite being full reservations. It was clean and spacious.

The check-in process was quick and easy. The staff was friendly. However, communication with the property prior to check-in was disappointing and sometimes frustrating. The motel looks very cute and welcoming on the outside. The room definitely needs some major renovations. There was a little mold on the bottom of the shower curtain and some of the paneling inside the shower was coming off, allowing water to seep behind it. There was a box of empty beer cans under the kitchen sink, presumably from the previous guests. The bedding and linens were clean and there were plenty of clean pillows provided. There was plenty of room for a family of four. For the price, this motel worked for us for one night.

Owner was very nice and helpful. Rooms were dated but clean. No cell coverage and car nav first led us to a campground.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the Internet continued to kick us out and we could not seem to stay connected even though the owner rebooted it. That was very disappointing. Great location, great staff and the rooms are perfect for a little getaway. This isnt your high class joint. This is a cozy, quiet and comfortable little spot though. Loved our stay

The owner, Shawn, was extremely friendly and there was a fire pit going outside. There was a pool and play area for kids. The location was great - just after the White Mountains forest, close to a quaint general store and a couple rustic restaurants, including Cabin Fever. It was a 25 minute drive to the base of Mount Washington for hiking and we passed Storyland on the way. The only downside was that the mattress on the bed was a little uncomfortable and the walls were a bit thin to the next room over.

We saw the place and it was rundown some. It was a place I would not stay at. Yet the owner was very nice and cancelled our room without charging us. He was looking up rooms for us as well. He was really good about it. I did appreciate how much he was willing to help us with fi ding a room and willing to give us back the money.
