Americas Best Value Inn Clear Lake

This hotel is well cared for and for the price it is an excellent valu. I will definitely stay there again.

The room smelled like pee and mold. There were no Covid-19 signs so no mask worn by staff. Front desk worker was sneezing, no mask, but she did put stuff on her hands before coming back to me. To the order, she offered me Febreeze. The underlying issues would still be there so we were able to get a room at a hotel nearby.

The roof was leaking and dripping all night. The room was not clean or vacuumed. There were dry avocado peels on the floor. The air conditioner did work which was a plus.

This was a good location. Walking distance to lots of restaurants. Clearlake was a cool place to stay and visit briefly on our way to Minnesota. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty run down, but it’s a cheap. You get what you pay for. Looked like there were several people living there not just visiting. That always makes me a little nervous.

Rooms were not clean and sheets have stains. Front desk was rude.

There was a bad smell in hallway, an off smell on room. Could smell cigarette smoke.

This was the worst experience I could remember ever having from a hotel

My room was comfortable. I slept very well on the bed and the pillows were fine. It was perfect for a one night stay, everything we needed was within walking distance.

Decent place for value of room. They let us check in an hour early. Room had old dingy towels and washcloths. Toilet leaked when flushed. Place smelled a bit musty.

One of the worst stays I’ve had in a while. Room was filthy and small, walls were paper thin, someone in an adjacent room was having a loud party until 4 AM and nothing was done to stop it. Next morning housekeeping was knocking on the door at 9 AM even though check-out isn’t until 11 AM. Had a crazy busy weekend with late nights and there was no peace and quiet to be found here. Housekeeping staff was nice, that’s about the best I can say about this place.
